Why Do I Always Fall for the Bad Boys?

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Tammy’s POV

“That witch!” Danny muttered. His brows furrowed in anger.

“That bitch!” Zoey muttered along with Danny.

I told the both of them about my face-to-face encounter with the ‘she devil’ a while ago. Up until now, I still couldn’t recover from that berserk encounter. Everything seemed so sudden. I wasn’t planning on stealing Blake from her if ever they were together or something. Coming near me and saying those words she said to my face wasn’t necessary at all.

“It’s okay guys. Chill out okay? She didn’t physically harm me or anything.” I reassuringly told both my anger filled best friends to calm them down a bit.

“Fine. But if she messes with you again, she’s dead.” Zoey warned. Danny nodded in agreement.

At this moment, I was sure enough that I was so lucky to have two best friends who really cared for me. “Awwwe, I love you guys.” I stated out loud whilst hugging them both affectionately.

“Owww. Can’t Breathe.” They both said in unison. I immediately let them go and all three of us burst into a fit of giggles and loud laughter.

This day went by pretty quick. As soon as my two morning classes were over, it was now lunch time. All three of us walked in our school cafeteria, anticipating on what the lunch lady has in stored for us today. And just like any other school cafeteria, the tables were categorized to which group of friends you belonged to. There was the popular table consisting of Veronica White with her two delinquents (a.k.a the Barbie’s). They were seated along with her fellow cheerleaders and of course, the jocks. Then there was the Band Geeks, the Nerds, the Drama club, the Goths, you name it. It was your typical, average high school lunch setting.

But then there was one question that kept running through my mind…

Where was Blake?

My eyes were searching the whole cafeteria but there was definitely no sign of him. He was nowhere to be found. I would normally expect him to be seated with the popular people since Veronica clearly wanted him. But why wasn’t he with them? Where was he? Was he okay?

Damn it. What is wrong with me? Why was I thinking about the one guy who clearly didn’t care for anyone but himself? Why did I have the sudden urge to find out where he was at the moment?

“T? You okay?” Danny asked, bringing me out of my reverie.

“Hmmm? Uh yeah. I was just thinking.” I said whilst shrugging.

“Oh yeah? You thinking about me?” He teased whilst waggling his eyebrows suggestively.

I just laughed and slapped his arm playfully. “In your dreams, D.”

“Okay guys, cut it out. I feel kinda out of place here!” Zoey exclaimed.

“Sorry Zoe.” Danny and I both said in unison whilst shrugging.

“Jinx! You owe me a soda!” I called out to Danny.

“Pffft. Whatever, T. We’re not kids anymore you know.” Danny reminded whilst sticking his tongue out.

“Yup, definitely not, D. Definitely not.” I remarked, overstressing my sarcasm tone.

The bell soon rang which means I had two more classes and I was good to go! I was planning on having a spa day after school with Zoey. It has been a long time since we hung out and bonded like that.

My boring classes went by quick and it was now time to head home. Thank God! On my way to Danny’s car where Zoey was, my eyes caught the evil Veronica walking towards the person I’ve been wanting to see all day...

Blake.

I felt a spark of jealousy building up inside me. Because here I was, standing right outside the school’s exit doors eavesdropping on Veronica and Blake from the field’s bleachers.

I saw Veronica talking to Blake about something, smiling her flirtatious smile. I couldn’t really hear anything she’s saying since I was so far from them.

But what I saw next was something I certainly did not expect…
