Chapter 4

Blake’s POV

After my encounter with Mr. R, our principal (my ex principal to be exact), I had to meet the guys at a new bar that had just opened. I didn’t know how to tell them the news or how they would react if I told them.

Entering the bar, I could already see the wild intoxicated people dancing all over the place. I didn’t really care about that, all I needed now was to drown myself in alcohol. Maybe in that way, I could forget what my friends would say or think, or what my parents’ disappointed faces would look like upon hearing the news. At least for a while, I get to forget all these and let loose.

Walking around, I couldn’t see my friends anywhere; they’re probably picking up some chicks again.  So I decided on heading to the bar counter to order some drinks and possibly get totally wasted.

I felt someone’s hand on my shoulders, “Hey man, why didn’t you wait for us?” I heard Tommy’s voice say while humorously laughing.

“I couldn’t wait. Besides, you were all busy picking up girls.” I replied not looking at them.

It was silent for a moment. But then Chris asked “So, what happened in the principal’s office a while ago?”

Great! Just great! I thought.

“Hey bro, can you get us 4 more Tequila shots here!” I said to the bartender, trying desperately to change the topic.

The bartender handed us our shots. I averted my gaze from the bartender to my friends who’s staring at me weirdly. “Here guys, my treat.” I handed them each a Tequila shot.

“Thanks dude!” They all said in unison, forgetting about the question earlier.

We all drank shot after shot. The only difference is I took two times the shot they drank. So I was starting to get a little tipsy now.

“Hey guyzzzzz letz dance!” I announced while taking another shot. Yup, I was totally drunk now.

“Woah, slow down there Blake.” Nate warned.

“It’s all *hiccup* cool man!” I said drunkenly as I made my way to the dance floor.

The music “Gimme Gimme Gimme” was now playing and I was dancing like a crazy person. Well, I guess I was trying to dance like a crazy person since I DON’T know how to dance at all. I normally don’t do these things but when I’m drunk, I have absolutely no control over my body.

“Okay, that’s enough. I think we all had enough of your awful dancing Blake.” Tommy mocked while both Chris and Nate laughed.

“We have it recorded on video. This is going to be viral on Youtube tomorrow.” Nate said holding his phone.

“I got expelled-“ I tried to say but I passed out. I had too much to drink. I didn’t get to see the guys’ reaction.

***

I woke up to the horribly bright sunlight skimming through my window. I tried to stand up from my bed when I felt a piercing pain in my head and did my head grow bigger while I was asleep? Damn it, it feels so heavy.

I am never drinking again!!!!!!

I forced myself to get up and have a cold shower. I decided to go downstairs and make myself a hearty breakfast. I feel so hungry right now. It’s like I can eat up my whole house.

When I stepped into our kitchen, I felt 2 pairs of eyes staring at me. Then I noticed it was both my parents’ eyes looking at me like I was their meal. Shit.

“Blake Aaron Michaels!” Mom started.

This is not good! I thought. Whenever my mom uses my complete name, it will always end up pretty bad. Like the time I tried to sneak out of the house when I was 13. She shaved my head bald and tried to ground me for 1 month. I had to wear a cap until my hair grew back a few inches.

“You didn’t come home for dinner; you were carried by Tommy because you were passed out, and most importantly, YOU WERE EXPELLED FROM YOUR SCHOOL! What the hell were you thinking?” She hissed.

“I-“ I tried to reply but I was cut off by my dad.

“Son, you have really crossed the line this time.” He said sounding disappointed.

“I’m s-“ I tried to reply but I was cut off again. Well then.

“Do you know how hard it is to find another school for you?” My mom asked sounding pissed.

“Uhhh..” I replied.

“Uhhh what? Is that all you can say? After everything you did. That’s all you can say? Uhhh?” Mom argued.

“Son, your mom and I have decided to send you to-“ My dad started to talk but he was cut off by mom. Poor dad.

“You’re lucky I have connections! I had help with my friend which happens to be the principal of this school. You better be in your best behaviour this time! I don’t know where to put you if you get expelled in this school again.” She said in a loud demanding tone whilst putting her hand on her head.

“Which school?” I asked curiously.

“East Shore High” My dad replied.

“WHAT?” I asked with wide eyes.
