Chapter 20
Tammy’s POV
We were now on top of a hill gazing at a spectacular view of the city. We were eating take-out pizza and pasta. Close enough to what Blake had originally planned for tonight since what we’re eating now was somehow Italian.
“It’s beautiful.” I breathed. The view was stunningly beautiful.
“Glad you like it. And I’m sorry this date didn’t go according to what you had in mind.” He smiled apologetically.
“Nah, no big deal. This is even better. And besides, everything about you is unexpected. I’m starting to get used to that idea.” I smirked.
“Are you smirking at me, Tamara Michelle Spencer?” He asked, staring at me, perplexed, his head cocked to one side.
Woah! Why does it that every time he says my name it sounds so impeccable and perfect? How does he do that? Wait…
“How did you know my full name?” I asked, curious.
“Let’s just say a little birdie told me…” He smirked.
Who could that little birdie be? Zoey? Danny? Mom? They wouldn’t tell him. Especially Danny. Oh my god! Danny! I haven’t talked to him. I hope he’s okay.
“You okay?” Blake asked, suddenly curious.
“Yeah, I was just thinking.”
“Thinking about me again? But I’m already here.” He retorted. Seriously?
“I wasn’t thinking about you. I was thinking about my best friend, Danny.”
“Oh.” Ha! That’ll teach him. “What about him?”
“I really don’t know. He’s acting odd lately. Every time I mention your name, his mood changes. I’m starting to think he’s into you.”
“Woah now, me? Are you sure about that? I don’t think he’s into me. Maybe he’s into you and he’s just jealous since your hanging out with me." He theorized.
“No, that’s not possible. We’re best friends. He’s like a brother to me.” I explained.
“Yeah well, you’re not hard to like, Tammy.” He said nonchalantly, which caught me off guard again. I didn’t know how to reply to that so I just stayed silent.
“You wanna dance?” He asked, breaking the silence.
“What? Here? Now?” I asked, slightly confused.
“Yes, yes and yes. Now, c’mon.” He dragged me to an open space in front of his motorcycle. The motorcycle lights were on which made it look like a tiny spotlight.
“What about the music?” I asked, thinking that he didn’t have a plan. But boy, was I wrong.
“Oh, you mean this?” He took out his portable speakers and played the song Loving You Tonight by Andrew Allen.
“You like this song?” I asked, gripping on his shoulders awkwardly.
“Tell me you don’t and I’m taking you home this instant.” He replied, eyes twinkling mischievously.
“No, I love this song. I’m even surprised you like these types of songs. I thought you liked rap and all those grungy rock songs.” I told him teasingly.
