Chapter 17

After lunch, Hyde called one of his female pack members to deliver a shirt to Adira. After doing so, he went to go hunt down the freak who threw the tomato. He saw the boy in the hallway. He quickly made his way through. The people in the hallway made way for him. It was as if he was shark all fish wanted to avoid. The boy quickly went towards the side, still soaked with tomato juice. Hyde suddenly grabbed his collar and dragged him outside. He was scared, so scared. Hyde threw him against a tree, making the boy out of breath. The boy kneeled down begging.
"I'm s-sorry Alpha Hyde." In truth he didn't know what he did to Hyde. He thought that the one who would come for him if he ever came was Wade.

"Why'd you throw that tomato?" Hyde growled.

"I- I wa-was dared to Alpha Hyde."

Hyde quickly balled up his fist ready to punch the boy. He stopped about a few centimerters before making contact with the boy's face. He just felt like if he did complete his punch, Adira would be upset at him. Dam*! He thought. What is she to me. Why do I even care. The boy flinched back closing his eyes embracing for impact. When it never came he slowly opened his eyse. It looked as if Alpha Hyde was in deep thought.

"I'm truly sorry. Just please let me go." He pleaded. Hyde was broken out of his trance as he looked at the boy.

"Tell that to the girl. Don't you dare mess with her. She BELONGS TO ME." he bellowed.

"Yes sir Alpha Hyde!" The boy clearly said.

Hyde quickly left not wanting to linger any longer.

Adira was in the bathroom, cleaning herself off. She was startled as a girl that was punkish looking came in. She wore combat boots and had a few piercings. Her shoes would clack against the tiles as she walked. Instead of going to a stall like Adira anticipated, she walked towards Aidra.

She handed Adira a black tee shirt.

"Wear this. This is from Alpha Hyde." She then walked away.

"....thank you." Aidra chirped. Adira smiled a little bit. As she lifted her face and saw her smiling face in the miror her smile was wiped off. She quickly went to a stall and changed.

Adira got out of the bathroom making her way towards her next class.

After getting out of Alpha Hyde's grasp, the boy made it a mission to find the girl and apologize to her. He really couldn't remeber what she looked like. Brown hair, brown eyes, pale skin, Purple shirt..... What else. He was runnning around the school desperatelly looking for her. Whoosh! Thud! He ran into something knocking it down.

Adira layed on the ground the wind knocked out of her. She looked up at the person who she ran into and automatically recongnized him.

"I'm sorry." She said looking down and getting up hoping to get away.

The boy was annoyed. He looked down at the girl codly. His eyes softned after recongnizing her.

"I'm sorry." She said. She quickly got up and was about to go. He quickly grabbed her arm. He quickly let go as he felt his hand burn. For some odd reason she was cold. He decided to ignore it.

"I'm sorry." He said, "I'm sorry for throwing that tomato at you."

Adira stared at him bewildered because she never expected to hear those words from people like him. This was the first person to say "I'm sorry" besides her mate. Though it might have not been sincere, she couldn't help but be touched. She looked at him in silence. A tear slipped out. The boy was now looking at her bewildered.

"Thank you." Adira chocked.

He felt so awkward. Why would she say that. What's her problem.

"Uhhhh for what?" He quietly said feeling akward.

"Those words....... This is the first time I've heard them in a normal situation." She laughed a little, in happiness.

Really? The boy thought. What a weirdo. What kind of life had this girl been living?

"Oh ok." He said feeling awkward. "I'm really really really sorry." Please tell Alpha Hyde I said sorry, he wanted to add but shut himself up.

What happened next was really unexpected as the boy's heart skipped a little. She smiled at him. SMILED! He didn't know what happened but as soon as she smiled, dam* he thought. She's beautiful. If he just saw the normal her, he wouldn't had thought anything special, but that smile...........

Adira nodded. She got up and was going to head towards her class before she was grabbed again. She turned back to look at the boy.

Before even realizing what he was doing, all he knew was that he grabbed her. He looked down at his hand that now held her arm. He looked into her eyes that gave him an innoccent questioning look. He quickly let go of her and shook his arm. Not even realizing what he was doing and that his hand felt like it was burning..

"No- Noah" he stutterd. "E...e- Edens. My na- name" Finnaly clearing his voice he spoke with confidenc "Noah Edens. That's my name." He squeeled realizing how stupid he sounded.

She smiled. She smiled again! He felt frozen in time. "My name is Adira." Adira he thought. That's a pretty name..........

"I'll rember that." He said. RING! The bell rang signaling the start of class. Adira smile quickly dropped to a fearful one. Oh my gosh! She thought. "I have to leave." She quickly turned and started running towards class, leaving Noah Edens in a trance watching her leave.
