A month later....

I really think these people are trying to kill me. Plain and simple, they are just trying to kill me.

They don't study or do their homework. They purposely lack off when I'm there.

Elex is never even there and the times that he is, it's a miracle to even see him. Let only get two words in before he walks away from me as if I've offended him in some way.

At the moment I'm going to their house again like I do every Friday, than I get the weekend away from them and I'm sure they are glad to have it away from me.

Ashely has been nice, even though she can't study to save her live. Her worst subject is math, which is the subject I hate to teach the most.

As I pull up to the house, I park in my usual spot and walk up to the door, knocking on it three times.

"Good evening Ronnie." Miss. White opens the door.

I smile at her, "good evening."

She lets me in and I'm about to go up the stairs, but she gently grabs my elbow, "would you like something to eat dear?"

I look at her, for as long as I've been coming here, Miss. White always asks the same question, maybe it's a motherly sense that she knows I haven't eaten.

I don't even remember the last time I had a home cooked meal, even though I love to cook.

My mind wonders to how my mother and me used to cook together all the time before my dad walked out on us, we'd all sit around the table and eat together laughing and joking around.

But that's in the past.

"No thanks miss.white." I give her another smile, but she doesn't let go.

"Please call me Jane." She then releases my shoulder and I nod quickly before going up the stairs.

As I go into the lounge where we usually meet, Ben, Ashely and Mackenzie are the only ones there. All of them looked a little tired and drained.

Did they not get enough sleep? Maybe they had a party and stayed up all night.

I mean that wouldn't surprise me with Mackenzie's track record.

"Hi Ronnie." Ashely says then pats the seat next to her.

I walk over and sit down, glancing at all of them. Their eyes less colorful like usual, their skin more pale and lips chapped.

It's almost as if they look older and need some food to get back to their normal selves.

"Did you guys stay up all night?" I question Ashely and she looks at me lazily.

"No." She simple says.

Well thanks for the explanation. I roll my eyes.

"So what's up with all of you then?"

She looks down at her hands and licks her lips, then looks to Ben and Mackenzie who are now looking at us.

"We just haven't been feeling well." Ben says in a voice I almost don't recognize, but his small smile still appears as if it makes himself feel better.

"I see, well than do you want me to leave? I can always pick up the lesson on Monday."

Mackenzie's eyes seem to darken and a chill goes through me. Ben most have noticed because he puts a hand on Mackenzie's as if to comfort her.

"Maybe that's for the best." Ashely chimes in and stands, I follow her through the halls and we are almost to the stairs when Ashely stops and looks back.

Fear and concern all over her face.

"Ashely?" I ask, touching her shoulder.

"Hey give me just a minute ok, I have to ask Mackenzie something really important." With that she rushes back to the lounge and I stand in the hallway.

As I watch her turn the corner, a chill shoots through me, as if a winter breeze came straight from the window. My body all of a sudden feels stiffen and cold, goosebumps raising and my breathing skyrocketing.

"Hey weirdo." A deep, husky voice comes from behind me and I gasp.

Turning quickly, I'm met with Jordan, his chest so close that when I breath in it makes our chest graze each other.

"Jordan." I say as calmly as I can.

He smirks evilly and my body is telling to me run, "I'm just going to go, say goodbye to Ashely for me." I go to step around him, but with nonhuman speed he grabs my throat slams me against the wall.

He growls at me and that's when I see four sharp teeth extend.

No way.

This can't be real.

For freaking sake this better be a dream!!

"Your not going anywhere." He breathes as he leans in and licks my neck.

I push on his shoulders and claw at his arms, but he is way stronger than I am and he is not playing a game.

"Jordan stop!" I say with a firm voice, even though I'm having a heart attack on the inside.

"Just a taste." He sing songs and chuckles. With that he bites me, his extended sharp fangs sliding into my skin making a small pop sound as they break the surface.

A scream bubbles up from my lungs and leaves my throat and mouth.

Within seconds, he is ripped off of me, strong arms catch me before I fall and I can barely see what's going on as my vision blurs.

But the little I can make out is Ben holding Jordan to the opposite wall by his throat, my blood dripping down his chin.

With the little effort I have left I look up at the person who caught me, their hand so gentle with me as though they are scared to break me.

"Elex." I get out as his worried face is above me.

"It's ok, I've got you." His voice is deep and relaxing, with has my body melting into his and falling into darkness.

Even though I know what Jordan is now, even though I know what Mackenzie, Ben and Ashely are now..... Even though I know what Elex and Jane are now....

Elex doesn't scare me like the others.

Why doesn't he scare me?
