"Mm," I groan while returning to consciousness. I opened my eyes to a bright white light. "I'm not dead, right?" I ask to myself.
"No." A deep voice responds. They startled me, but I recognized the amusing tone almost instantly. "I mean, I don't think so at least."
I laugh to myself, rubbing my eyes. "That's not really an answer."
I rolled around a bit, feeling the hard and cold surface on my skin.
"Why does my neck, my back, and my head hurt?" I inquire, sitting up. I sensed someone sitting up next to me as well.
"I don't know, maybe because we slept on the bathroom floor?" Brendon tells me, grabbing my attention.
I look at my surroundings, realizing he was right.
"We never actually made it back to the bed." I chuckle at how strange this all was.
"I guess we were just so tired after that sob session last night we were too lazy to get back up and sleep on the bed." He chuckles as well. "But hey, I don't mind where I fall asleep as long as I wake up next to you." He smirks.
"Bleh!" I exclaim. "You're so sappy."
"It's a package deal, Lilypad." He puts an arm around my shoulders, bringing me close to him.
"You were never sappy before we were dating."
"Yeah because we weren't dating. But now you have to put up with my cheesy pickup lines."
"Alright, hit me with your best shot."
"Are you salt? 'Cause you're sodium fine."
I about burst out in tears from laughing so hard.
"That was so terrible."
"Impressive, though." He raised his eyebrows.
"Yeah, whatever floats your boat."
"Now, I suggest we get up off the bathroom floor." He says while standing up and extending a hand to me.
"I'd say that's a grand idea." I take his hand which helped me getting off of the ground.
"Brendon, honey? Is everything okay?" I hear Danielle say from the other side of the bathroom door.
I express my surprise by widening my eyes and letting my jaw drop, and then looking down at what I was wearing. It was pretty much nothing, well in an adult's eyes.
"Yeah, Mom. I'll be down in a minute."
"Where's Lily? You said she was here."
"Maybe with the twins, I don't know." He responds. I gave him a death look and started using my hand and running it across my neck, figuratively telling him to cut it out. He looked at me panicked.
"Okay, I'll see you at breakfast in a few." She says, and we stood without making a sound, waiting for her to leave.
The door slammed closed, and we let out a breath.
"That was so close."
"Yeah it was." I laughed.
He opened his bathroom door, throwing some clothes at me for me to wear.
"Prepare for a lot of questions. Stephen likes to make people look bad."
"I will."
We started walking downstairs while I was wearing some of Brendon's joggers and a hoodie of his. It was 85 degrees out, but it's like a girls dream come true to wear her boyfriend's hoodie, so I'm definitely not complaining.
