When I'm ready for the party, I'm wearing a bright red dress with sleeves down to my elbows, and the hem of the flowing skirt at my knees. Under I have see-through black tights with a flower pattern. For shoes, I'm wearing black combat boots. My chestnut hair is in loose curls. And for makeup and accessories, a black smoky eye look with winged eyeliner, and bright red lipstick, while wearing golden hoops for earrings and golden bangles to match.

Brendon is waiting for me on the couch, watching Rugrats.

"What are you doing?"

"Rugrats was my favorite show as a kid. I saw it on, and thought I might watch it."

"That's sweet," I smile, remembering my favorite show as a kid.

"Are you ready?" He turns off the TV and gets up, looking at me while pursing his lips.

"Yeah."

He looks me up and down before replying.

"Great, I brought my car over while you were getting ready. Get in."

So I jumped in the front seat of his pickup truck, and he drove me to Simone's house.

I've been to Simone's parties before, and they get a little wild. I would never go to one of his parties voluntarily, I usually just go because Gillian drags me there. It's always a bunch of drunk people, luckily I like to hide myself in the bathroom when I go. But I figure that Brendon isn't going to let me out of his sight.

By the time we get there, I can see flashing colored lights through the windows. Loud music is playing through speakers, and when I walk in, I hear the clatter of a lamp. Guess I missed the steady part of the party. Darn, it's always my favorite part!

People near the entryway don't notice me, besides the girls who coincidentally are right next to the door.

"OMG!!" is all I can hear from the group of people. Also squealing. And then comes the preppy jumping.

"You came! You never do!" Ciara slurred.

"Yeah." I had to yell over the music. I noticed the girls had red solo cups in there hands, and Angie was headed our way with two cups.

"Drink up!" She cheered in her chirpy voice.

Shoving it in my face, I took it. Only to later give it to some girl who's already had way too much to drink tonight.

Exiting the house, I went to the backyard where it was a little calmer. The music wasn't as loud, and there were definitely no girls dancing on tables. But indeed a few couples "blending" into the dark. Newsflash, we can see you.

I noticed that Brendon wasn't trailing behind me, and that was good. I don't want him to figure out that I don't like parties, because honestly, I really want to see this jerk fail.

The backyard was mostly lit up by the pool in the dark, and it was decorated with white lights in the hedged trees. This is where all the people like to go when they are here at the party, but not in the mood to party. Usually just to hang out with friends, maybe ask out a girl or a guy asks out you if you're lucky. It's also the place where people go when their friends came so they had to come too, but you would rather be chilling in your room on WeHeartIt.

So I decide to hide over in the corner, my phone lighting up my face. Out of boredom, I text Talon.

Me: Stuck at Simone's party

Talon: How did you get there?

Me: Long story. Can you get me out of here ASAP?

Talon: On my way.
