Sorry if you thought this was an update, because it's not. 31 was the last chapter in the first book. But as I said, Brendon's POV's would be in a different book but I've decided to save space and put them in here. They are optional reads and by no means mandatory, but if you want you can read the 9 chapters I've created in his point of view all compiled in this chapter (it's a long one beware) and if you do, thank you so much!

1. Off to Such a Great Start

My eyes are locked with another's. I shouldn't be focused on them right now, but they were too intriguing to not stare at.

When I stepped into my new first period classroom for the quarter, one thing stuck out to me: the vibrant bright blue eyes of another. There were possibly tons of women in that classroom to stare at; but I chose this girl in particular.

She stared back at mine. And then I looked at her face. She was beautiful. A lot more beautiful than anyone that I went to school with at my old school.

"Ahem," the teacher's voice croaks. I jerk my head to him, and he has an eyebrow raised like I was wasting his time.

I excuse myself and he lets me off with a warning. He must not care too much about new students because in the movies the teacher always introduces the new kid.

But this is real life.

I take a seat in the back. Unfortunately, it was the closest seat to the bright blue eyed girl. I wanted to look at her eyes more, but I only got to see the back of her head.

For some odd reason, this girl intrigued me. I tried to get her attention after the first period, but she seemed to march off.

Later in the day, I expected to be seated in the bathroom to eat lunch. But a group of guys told me to sit with them. They seemed cool. One of them had a scary aura though, and his face gave off negative expressions every time I looked at him.

"Who are you?" One of them asks bluntly. I'm taken aback but I chuckle lightly.

"My names Brendon. This is my first year at this school." I flash my teeth with a grin.

"Look at that! That's the 17th new person in the senior class. Pay up, Talon." One of them looks to the guy giving me dirty looks.

"Whatever. That was a stupid bet anyways." Talon rolls his eyes and takes some money out of his pocket.

I'm not fully aware of what actually happened, but I don't have the nerve to ask. Truthfully, I was nervous about today. I had never gone to a new school before. But I was still relieved to get out of that hell hole down in Miami. My home life wasn't too great.

I found the bright blue eyed girl once again, sitting down at a table with loud and obnoxious people. Most of the men were wearing varsity jackets, and the girls wore stilettos and pounds of makeup. It was obvious to the naked eye that they were popular at this school.

It sort of disappointed me that this girl was probably snobby and rude, like most popular girls were. But you should never judge a book by its cover.

"So, what about you Brendon?" Talon looked at me and gave me a smile. It wasn't a warm smile, though. More like threatening.

"What?" I say embarrassed.

"Anyone you've got your eyes on? Maybe a girl at your old school?"

"Um, no not really. Today's the first day of school anyways, I haven't gotten a good look at the people around here."

"So why are you getting all googly-eyed at Gillian?" One of them scoffs.

"I... I wasn't." I defend myself. They caught me staring, dammit!
