Movie night, sleepless night & The morning after

Chapter 8

Last time

"What happened between you two?" Ryland whispers in my ear.

"If you want to know you can ask Gus later, I'm going to sit with him for a bit" I whisper back, he nods unwrapping his arm from around my shoulders, I get up and walk over to Gus, he looks up from his phone, I offer him a small smile, he shifts over and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I sit down next to him resting my head on his chest as he wraps his arms around me. Rydel gets up and turns the lights off then starts the movie.

We finished watching Clueless then put Harry Potter in cause Ryland and Gus didn't want to watch another chick flick, I moved back to Ryland and my bed for Harry Potter cause it was late and I knew the others would start to fall asleep. By 3:30 the others were all asleep Ryland had his arms wrapped protectively around me, at 5:00 I got bored, I'd been looking though my phone surfing the internet and reading a story. So I got up and went to the kitchen, and just sat at the table. Its now 6:00 and I know some of the others will be up soon. Everyone is usually up by 7-7:30 so around 6:45 I'll start making breakfast. I rest my head on the table sighing, I know that I have to be at the airport like 3 or 4 hours before my flight it takes about half an hour to get there so I have to leave here around 4'oclock. My mind wanders to what happened last night with Gus, do I just not mention it, does this mean he likes me, will he say something to me, will he want to talk about it. My thoughts are cut off when I hear someone enter the kitchen. I look up and smile when I see Riker.

"Morning Rik"

"Morning Maya, did you get any sleep?" he asks as he turns the kettle on and gets out stuff to make a hot chocolate, I smile when he gets two cups and gets stuff ready to make coffee so I can have a mocha.

"No, did you?"

"Yeah, I got a couple of hours, not as much as I normally do, I was worried about Rocky and Ross" I nod looking down.

"Sorry" I say, I feel bad, if I had just listened to Rocky then none of this would have happened. I hear Riker move then a minute later feel him pull out the chair next to me, he wraps one arm around me leaning down.

"It's not your fault ok" I don't answer I just turn my head to look at him.

"Can I ask you something about you and Vanni?" he looks confused at the sudden change of topic but nods, going back to the kettles as it clicks.

"Yeah"

"How long did you like her before you acted on it?" I ask playing with my fingers.

"Umm I liked her for about 4 months before we started going out, she liked me for about 2 months before we started going out, we flirted a bit before and acted a bit like a couple before we actually got together" he tells me as he makes his hot chocolate and my mocha. I nod

"Gus still hasn't made a move?" he asks I look up shocked.

"W-what?" he chuckles at me.

"Maya we all know he likes you, but its hard to tell if you like him or not, I mean you act kind of like you like him but then it could just be the way you act around guys cause your so use to being around guys your just really comfortable I mean you act a little different to him then you do to the guys and I." I sigh

"I do like him Rik, I'm just scared about what could happen if we got together, but I still want to be with him"

"Well he wants to be with you, I know that for sure cause he talks to me and the guys about it."
