Chapter 21

I start walking with Jason down the street as Mat and Rob walk to other way. I turn the corner with Jason, walking slowly along the pavement. I turn to Jason, stopping in front of him.

"Why would you do this to me Jase?" I ask. He looks at his feet.

"I didn't know," he said, his foot kicking a rock into the road. I look at him with disgust.

"You got her pregnant," I say, pushing him slightly. He looks up and pushes me back.

"I CAN'T HELP WHAT WE DID! IT HAPPENED MITCH! IT'S OVER! SHE'S PREGNANT AND THIS IS REAL LIFE!" he yells, punching me. I punch him back. We keep punching each other until we both fall to the ground, wrestling each other violently.

"MITCH! JASON!" I hear someone yell before I'm ripped off of Jason, my arms pinned behind my back.

"LET GO OF ME!" I yell at whoever was holding me. I look at who was holding Jason.

Tyler.

I look up to see who was holding me.

Kyle.

Thank God they were here but.. how are they in Montreal when they are miles away?

"How the hell did you guys get here?" I ask Kyle, looking up at him.

"We came to your house after picking up Adam and Ty at the airport. We came to visit on surprise. Tyler wanted to take a walk and we saw you guys so logically we ran and split you two up," he said, helping me off the ground. Tyler helps up Jason and separates us as we keep searching for Reegan.

"Where's the little girl who was on Skype the other day?" Tyler asks.

"She was kidnapped from Rob's house last night. We are looking for her," Jason said. Tyler looks at the ground, a tear falling.

"Whose this little girl?" Kyle asks.

"Mat's daughter. Tyler met her on Skype," I say. Kyle nods and lowers his head. I ask them to help us search for her, which they gladly accepted.

We searched for over 6 hours, not finding a trace of her.

"Guys, what's that?" Tyler says, pointing to a van at the side of the rode. Reegan was tapping on the back of the van's glass. I ran up to the van, as did the others. I put my hand up to the glass.

"I'll get you out. Move out of the way," I tell her. She nods and backs up. I smash the glass with my hand and unlock the van from the inside. I open the door as Reegan jumps into Tyler's arms. She starts crying.

Tyler starts to comfort her the best he could before pointing back in the van. Two more children sat there, struggling to stand.

"Here," Kyle said, reaching out his hand to one of them. The teen takes his hand and quietly runs into his arms. Kyle hold the teen in his arms, comforting her as she whispers thank you over and over.

The last kid was a boy around 15. Jason reaches out his hand. The boy grabs it, taking it with one hand and holding something with the other. Another child.

Jason takes both kids out of the van, the boy with tears in his eyes and the littlest crying. I take the littlest and hold him in my arms. I start to hear shouting.

"Guys run!" Jason yells, putting the boy down and taking his hand, running away. Tyler ran with Reegan after the boy and Jason. Kyle set down the teen and took the boy out of my hands.

He laced his fingers between hers and started running, child in one hand, and holding the girls hand with the other.

I look at the man shouting at me.

"HEY! THOSE WERE MY KIDS!" he yells. I look at him in anger.

"That little girl is my niece, my best friends daughter. So they were not your kids, they belong to other men and women here," I say, pushing him away from me. His face twists into pure disgust.

"You will not turn me in. You can't," he says, closing the back doors of the van and getting into the front. I quickly take out my phone and take a picture of his license plate before running to the other who were hiding behind the corner.

Kyle, Jason and Tyler were squatting behind the corner, as was the teen, who looked no more than 18, the boy who was about 15, and Reegan, the little 4 year old. The toddler was held by Jason, tears in his eyes.

"Lets get everyone to my house," I say. Everyone nods as I pick up Reegan. She hugs me.

"I'm sorry Uncle Mitch," she whispers. I nod.

"You're okay, you're okay," I say. Now that I realize it, the fight about Rebecca doesn't even matter now. I found Reegan, two teens and a toddler. I mean, Tyler did technically so I do have to give him credit.

We all walk to my house in silence, the 18 year old never letting go of Kyle's hand once. The 15 year old stood by Jason. He looked oddly familiar. Like I knew him from somewhere. The tot was carried by Tyler, sleeping in his arms. We entered the house, the eight of us staring at the four of them. Mat's face brightens as he sees his daughter.

"Reegan, thank God," he breathes, running up to me and taking her. Rob goes to join their hug, gladly welcomed by Reegan. Ty and Adam looked at Tyler and Kyle.

"What happened?" Adam asked. I explained everything, Ty and Adam getting choked up on every word. The 18 year old looked at Kyle before putting her face in his shoulder. He rubs her back slowly. Mat looks over at the three kids that stood by the four of us.

"Who are these kids?" he asks. I look at them all.

"I'm Sam," the girl says. She points to the toddler.

"That's Graham," she says.

"I'm Dustin," the other boy says. That's where I know him from.

"Dustin, as in the boy who had the tumor?" I ask, looking at him. He looks at me with wide eyes.

"Oh my God, Mitch," he says before hugging me.

"Dustin how did this happen? Do you still have your tumor?" I ask.

"I don't have cancer anymore but my mother died recently and that guy said my dad told him to take care of me. So I went with him and that's where I met Sam and Graham," he says. I look at Sam.

"How did you and Graham get there?" I ask. She swallows.

"Graham is my brother. We were walking and this guys came up and put me under before taking both me and Graham to his van. We were stuck there since I was 17. Our parents died about a year ago. I'm 18 now," she says. Kyle hugs her. Dustin nods.

"Then Reegan came about two days ago. Now we are free," he said.

"How long were you there Dustin?" Rob asks.

"Since January. A few days after they said I was good to go and cancer free, my mom died and the guy came. Now it's September," he said. I nod, hugging him again. Sam takes Graham away from Tyler, holding him to her chest.

"So all of you are orphans?" Mat asks. They all nod, even little Graham.

"You can live with me. I have enough room," I say. Sam starts crying.

"You're joking," Dustin says. I shake my head no. Dustin and Sam hug each other before Kyle is pulled into their hug.

Tyler joins as does Jason. Adam and Ty join in. Rob joins with Mat and Reegan. Everyone looked at me. I join in the hug.

Now we have a giant family of 11. And I couldn't be happier.
