Chapter 9

I just looked at him for awhile, waiting for him to speak up. His jaw clenched, but it relaxed immediately. His eyes turned light and soft, and he looked down, seemed confused. When he didn't say anything, I turned around to leave.

As I was walking this oh-so-long hallway, I was trying to contact Megan, but her cellphone must have been turned off. I was in the living room already and there weren't any people anymore. There were broken glasses, I assumed it was the beautiful ceramics, scattered everywhere. The center table was broken into half, cups all over the floor, spilled juice and crackers were lying on the floor too. It seemed like someone used this gigantic living room as their boxing ring.

Wait..

Trent with blood...

So, he...

"Honey," a lovely old lady with silver hair that was tied up in a clean bun, I assumed was a maid, was calling out my attention. "I suggest you better go home," she said in a very soft tone like she was talking to a child. She had a broom in her right hand and a dustpan in her left hand. She bent down a little to sweep off the crackers on the floor. "The party is over. Kids nowadays." She sighed, looking up at me, she stopped sweeping off the floor for awhile. I decided to just smile at her even though I have no idea what she meant. I waved goodbye to her and she showed off her sweet smile.

There were also maids cleaning up the mess on the front lawn. They were picking up garbage everywhere. Last time I remember, there weren't really a lot of guests in the party, how come there were lots of mess everywhere? You could barely see the driveway due to the fact that it was covered by empty red cups, crackers, chips, wrappers, tissues, and plastics. I even saw a black lacey bra on my way to Megan's car. Kids nowadays...

Once I reached Megan's car, I leveled my face to the window and peeked through it to see if she was in there, but all I saw was my bag sitting quietly on the passenger seat, and a couple of luggages in the back seat, since this was the last time that Megan will be coming here. Well, I hope this isn't the last time. I stood up straight and held out my phone, trying to contact her again. But she still didn't answer.

I was starting to worry until I heard moaning and groaning. I didn't know where it was coming from so I rounded the car and when I got to the other side, I heard the moaning and the groaning even louder. It was coming from behind the tree! I was standing right in front of the tree, trying to listen of what was going on. My face got closer that I could almost swap faces with the tree. And then there was Megan's flirty giggle. Now where was she? I didn't see her around.

Oh...

It wa coming from the tree...

She was right behind the damn tree!!! WTF?!

I didn't know if I was going to go around the tree and catch her doing whatever she was doing or just let it go and wait for her outside the car.

There was the moaning and groaning again, Megan's giggle disappeared and a deep chuckle can be heard this time. I still couldn't figure out who it was. So I finally decided to call Megan as loud as I could as if I was still finding her.  No no. I'll just jump out to the other side of the tree. Oh I couldn't make up my mind. What if I'll just walk home and inform Megan I already left because I couldn't find her, but she'd be leaving tonight.

Then suddenly, my phone decided that it was the right time to ring my Little Mix ringtone.

*Hey how ya doin, sorry you can't get through, why don't you leave your name and your number and we'll get back to you...*
