Chapter 7
"Hey!" Anthony was snapping his fingers in front of my face.
"What?!" I said, irritated.
"Are you even listening to me?" He said while chewing. "You look like you're not yourself these past few days," he was still chewing. "What is up?" He leaned in to look at my face closely.
"Nothing, okay?" I said, still irritated.
"It's a beautiful morning and my little sister is already not in the mood," He said frowning. "I wonder what happened to my SWEET little sister?" He said teasingly, emphasizing on the word 'sweet'. "Did you eat Alexis Cooper?" He faced me with a cheeklish grin.
That was it! I was full of him. I got up and left him in the dining area. I went straight into my room and I didn't hear what he was saying. I hid under my blanket and just closed my eyes. Yeah, he was right. I was not myself these past few days. Megan still didn't called me since she left and I was still worried. There were a lot of things on my mind right now. And Trent just needed to be included. Ugh. How could I forget that night? I felt like it was my last day on earth.
"You coming?" Anthony suddenly pulled the blanket off of me and I glared at him.
"Don't you know how to knock?"
"Sorry sis, I don't," He looked around my room and an amusing expression was plastered on his face when he stared at my posters.
"What do you want?" I couldn't take this anymore.
"What?" Like he didn't know what I was talking about.
"Oh for fuck's sake, Anthony! What were you asking?" He looked at me like I was gonna eat him alive, because I just might, it was still morning and he was definitely ruining my day.
"Chill, man." He held his hands up in surrender. "I was just wondering if you would like to go to the charity concert? I'm going so you could just go with me there if you want," He looked at his wrist watch. "It starts at 10, I'm leaving at 9:30, so you could still get ready." He finished.
"Awww..." I cocked my head to the side and held my hands together on my chest. "What a thoughtful sweet brother I have," I said sarcastically, and he shrugged. "I'll stay here though. You can go without me." I pulled my blanket over me again. "K,whatever." He said and I heard he closed the door not so gently.

I woke up after a few minutes later and saw a text from Megan. Oh thank God. She finally contacted me.
Sorry I haven't called since, meet me up in the cafe at 1? I think we need to talk. ~Megs. xxx
I was actually mad at her for not calling me. She made me feel worried sick. But yeah, we needed to talk. So I replied,
Sure, you owe me an explanation, Megs. ~~Alex
I sent the message and took a shower to get ready.

"Hey!" I greeted Megan and sat across her. I was trying to control my anger.
"Hey!" She greeted back, stirring her coffee but she wouldn't look at me.
"So," I started. "Why didn't you call me? I'm so worried about you." I tried saying it with my oh-so-soft voice.
"Sorry, we've been busy moving," she looked at me then looked down again. "Uhh.. today is the last time we're going here."
"What?!" I thought I said it a little louder than I expected because pretty much everyone in the cafe looked at us, but ignored them and continued. "Why didn't you tell me? I should've come over and we would've talked already. I could've help you and your mom and everything will be clear to me now," I exploded with those words. I couldn't take it anymore. Megan looked shocked and didn't say anything. "But you didn't tell me. Why Megan? I'm so confused, worried sick about you. I don't know what happened to you. You stopped going to school and you don't answer my calls and texts." I was almost teary-eyed at this point.
