Chapter 5
I tried to push Trent away but he was so heavy. He chuckled and I felt the vibrations on my chest. My heart was beating fast. So fast. I had no idea how to make it slow. He stopped chuckling and he looked at my lips again. I licked my lips because I felt they were dry. Not that I was preparing my lips for a kiss, but who knew? Jeez, I needed to stop thinking like that. I couldn't kiss him and he couldn't kiss me for three reasons: He was my brother's friend, he was like a stalker, and he was weird. I couldn't have a relationship with a stalker. No way! So I looked at him confusedly. His face was serious. And in that moment, I suddenly felt his lips on mine. My eyes grew bigger as I was in a state of shock. He licked my top lip to ask for a permission to enter but I pulled away. This was so wrong. This was not what I'd planned. I was done. I pushed him up again and right now he stood up. He offered me his hand to help me get up but I ignored it. I grabbed my stuffs as fast as I can, while he just stood from where he was. I couldn't look at him so I just left and took a bus home. I never heard him call after me but I swore he was watching me leave.

I laid on my bed for almost an hour now. I tried calling Megan but she didn't pick up. My mom was out to somewhere. She left a note that was posted on my bedroom door for me to see. Anthony was still at school, I assumed. So I was home alone. Again, it was peaceful and a good time to think. The thing was, the silence was killing me. It was making me think about the kiss. It was wonderful. His lips were softer than it looked. My heart was beating so fast that I felt like I couldn't breathe. I was so done! My heartbeat simply told me that I felt something towards him. Something indescribable.
The door bell rang and I jumped out of my thoughts. I went down to get the door and when I opened it, I saw Trent standing still wearing the outfit he was wearing earlier at the parking lot. He looked at me with his face serious. Thank God he did not use his killer smile.
"Uhh..Anthony's not here y-"
"I didn't came here for him." He interrupted.
"Oh." The only thing I could say.
"May I...uhh.." He hesitated. "May I come in?" He finished as he ran his fingers to his soft brown hair. I opened the door wider and stepped aside to let him in. "Thanks." He looked at the floor, avoiding my eyes. I closed the door and walked to the living room. He followed me and sat on the couch across me.
"Why are you here?" I broke the silence between us. He still didn't look at me though.
"I came here to talk to you," He seemed nervous. He kept on playing his fingers, not even dared to look at me. I just watched him.
There was an awkward silence and it was killing me. So I broke it, "What do you want?" I asked him. He looked up at me in the eyes. His eyes were dark.
"You're probably mad at me but I'm here to say sorry to what I did," He looked down again. Honestly? I don't know how would I respond so I just said, "Why are you sorry?" I looked down after I asked him. It seemed wrong. It sounded like I liked the kiss.
"Because what I did is wrong," His voice was slightly loud. I looked up, shocked. "I shouldn't have done that. I know we just met and all, but when I laid my eyes on you...I know that from that moment, I like you," He stood up and sat beside me. He turned so that he was facing me. I didn't know what to say, so I just looked at my hands. This was so awkward. Really freaking awkward. I couldn't look at him though. I didn't even know if I liked him back.
"I know..." He hesitated. "I know that you don't like me....yet." He sighed. Seriously? He thought that I would like him? Well, he was nice to me, but I didn't know, about the things that Megan said? I felt like I really need to know the truth. Yep. That was what I would do.
"I couldn't stop myself earlier. I was not thinking," He continued. "I wanted to run after you but I couldn't seem to move my legs. I was also shocked when I did that. I'm so sorry, Alexis." He finished.
"Uhh..." And I didn't know what to say again.
"You don't have to say anything. I just want you to hear me out," He grabbed my hand and looked at my wrist. "The mark is gone." He smiled as he rubbed it. "I was afraid that you would not allow me to come along to the library with you." He puts back my hand on my lap and chuckles.
"You're nice, but I'm sorry too," I sighed and faced him. "I don't want any relationship right now." I finished.
"It's ok. I totally understand." He smiled at me and stood up. "I'd better go." He went straight to the door and I followed him. When we reached it, he walked outside and turned around. "I'll make you want one." Then he turned around and ran into his car. And he was gone. Just like that. I didn't know what he meant though. Or was I just pretending that I didn't?
