Ch. 10

Now it's been a week since we found out that dad was the one who Cass saw and knows where we live. "Katie... Come on. We have to g if we want to get away from your dad and his men." Aiden said to me. Cass was in the car with Midnight waiting for us. We had all of our stuff packed into our cars. I sighed and waved bye to the gang. Since dad was after us we were the only ones that needed to leave. Thankfully my brother and friends are moving with us to keep Cass safe. I got to my jeep and Danni was standing there with Cass and Amber. "Which house is it were going too?" I asked. "I think it's the cabin?" Amber said. "Heading to the cabin! Let's roll!" Kyle said. We laughed and got in our cars. Kyle was first than me Aiden Danni Amber and Nick taking the rear of us.
I couldn't help but sigh on the way there. "Mommy...?" Cass said in a whisper. "Yeah baby girl?" I asked looking at her the in mirror. "When we get to the new home will daddy be there? I don't want him to leave." That broke my heart. "Of course he will be there. He loves you you know that right.' 'Yeah i do." With that she pulled her puppy close and fell asleep. Why would she think he will leave. I couldn't help but think back to last few weeks. Shit... The night he had to leave.....

That night after finding out that dad was the one after us Aiden left to do a mission which had to do with dad. He was gone for a week and in that week we fought because he never said bye to Cass. So every night she cried herself to sleep thinking that her daddy left her. He didn't he left the city to find out more and get the house we were on our way to set up. It's just Cass doesn't know what happened. And we plan on keeping it that way. I looked in the mirror and saw she was asleep. She held tight to the puppy Aiden gave her for her birthday a few months ago. After a couple of hours we pulled over to get food. I got out and threw my bag over my shoulder getting Cass. We pulled into the smallest dinner and it was cozy, to be honest.

We ordered sandwiches and sodas. After we ate we drove for another 30 mins to our safe house. This safe house was different. Inside we had the main floor. But three doors. Each door led to a wing east south and north wing. Aiden just looked at me while I headed for the south wing. We unloaded everything. He helped the guys while I got Cass room set up. I love this house. The room Cass has is connected to ours through the door right to her and ours room. We leave that door open so we can always check on her and she can come to us if needed.
After 3 hours of moving
We finally had everything set the way we wanted and needed. Cass was playing with her dolls while I relaxed on the couch reading. The guys were in the basement playing video games. Dani and Amber walked in with their books. I got up and set the music to low but loud enough for us. We loved these nights when we can relax, the guys can hang out and Cass can be a kind not on the run. "Mommy...." I heard Cass say. "Yeah baby." I said closing my book and taking a seat on the floor. "Will you read me a story?" She asked. "I'd love to Cass. Go pick a story out." She got up and went to get a book. It was a chapter book. "Can you read me a chapter a day?" I smiled I loved when she wants to learn to read and have us read to her. I looked at the book. "Chapter 1...." I started reading she was quiet the whole time. By the time I finish the first chapter the guys had come up and Cass was asleep. Amber took her to the room and got her ready for bed. After Amber was done, she joined us back out in the living room. We just sat there and listened to the music for a few before we headed to bed.

The next morning we started a plan to keep Cass safe first off. We decided first off that she doesn't leave with out one of us. If there is anyone we are suspicious about we look into them. Specially if dad is out to get her. We can't risk anything. Next was if we got seen what we do. We kept deciding/talking about what to do for her and us. I'm just hoping we make the right choice.
