Ch 16

We ran into the woods behind the building. After getting hidden deep enough we slowed down and caught our breath. "This isn't going to work.." I told him in between breathing. "Why?" He asked setting Cass down. "He must know these woods like the back of his hand. I mean this is his property!" I said panicking a little. I saw Cass walking a few feet from us looking around.

     "Cass that's far enough!" I whisper yelled to her. "Ok momma!" She said back to me. I felt Aiden pull me into his side and kiss my head. I kept my eye on her the whole time. That's when I heard a snap. Instantly Cass ran back to me and I hid her behind me and held her close. She grabbed my leg hiding more. "It's ok." I told her. Aiden stood in front trying to find out what it was. That when a another snap came behind me. With out thinking I grabbed Cass and held her close. Not letting them get a chance to grab her again.

     I felt someone grab my arm jumping i turned and saw Aiden motioning me to follow him. We went further into the woods getting away. I could hear the footsteps of people running. And it wasn't just our steps. Out of no where I was being tackled to the ground. When I hit the ground Cass was thrown from my arms. "Go to daddy!" I yelled and saw her run towards Aiden but a hooded guy grabbed her quicker. I went to get up but the person who tackled me put his weight on my back. "Momma!" She yelled crying.

     I fought to get the guy off me. He grabbed my hair and pulled my face to look at him. "Get up you bitch!" He yelled in my face.  I slammed my head back and hit him. He fell off my back and I took that chance to get up and run to Cass. I was just in arm distance and was slammed into the ground again. I saw the guy turn me around and punched me. Spitting out blood I just laid there until I felt a kick in my ribs. I wheezed trying to get air in my lungs. I looked over and saw Cass crying scared. Aiden didn't look like he had much of a scratch on him other than being tackled. Getting my breath back I got up and they sat me against a tree. They let Cass go and she ran to me. "Shh...... baby girl it's ok." I told her as she hung on to me.

     They shoved Aiden towards me and aimed a gun at us. "Is that really needed?" He asked but only to be shoved into the tree. "Aiden!" I said trying to stop him from hitting his head. "I'm fine baby. I promise you." He said turning to sit next to me. After the guy who tackled and beat me told the others what to do they grabbed us by the arm and pulled us up. Aiden instantly got Cass in his arm and put his other arm around my waist. As they walked us back towards the house he pulled me closer. His eyes stayed straight ahead of us but he kissed the side of my head. After probably 30 minuets of walking since we ran as far as we could and than farther when we heard the others following us we made it back to the house. "Your dad is gone. But he will be back." One of the guys said.

     They opened the door to a bigger room than before. It had a bed and a bathroom connected to it. "Your be staying in here." The guy said. The room had one bed it would fit the three of us and still have room. I grabbed ahold of the wall when Aiden was pulled from me. I hissed in pain as my ribs hit the wall when I grabbed on. They guy shoved me to the ground and kicked my ribs. "That's for head butting me." He said as spat more blood out. He walked out and closed the door.

     After a few Aiden helped me to the bed. He was laying there with Cass in between us. There was a knock on the window. Aiden got up to see who it was. Once the window opened Kyle jumped through. "Sis!" He said as he ran to me. "Kyle!" I said getting up and limping into his arms. "What happened to you?!?" He asked freaking out. "Later just help us get out!" I said. He picked me up and set me over the window cell. I grabbed the rope and slowly headed down. Dani was down on the floor waiting for me. "God i missed you..." she said pulling me into a hug.  I hugged her back and moved so Cass can come down. I noticed Cass was on the back of Aiden holding on. After he got on the ground Cass was put down. She ran to Dani as Aiden pulled her into a hug. I looked up and saw Kyle on his way down. "Come on Nick and Amber is in the truck waiting." Dani said.

     We took off the way Dani went and saw the truck waiting around the corner. Kyle opened the door and I got Cass in and Aiden jumped in and I sat on his lap while Kyle and Dani did the same. Nick drove off to the new house I'm guessing. This is going to be a long ride. "We're going back to the house to get your jeep. Than you following us over." Nick said. 20 minuet later we switched vehicles. "Sleep babe. I'll wake you up at half away." With that i fell asleep in the passenger seat of my jeep.

      Being about two hours away Aiden woken me up. We got something to eat and switched seats. I drove the rest while he slept. Getting to the house it was bigger. We pulled in and I shook Aiden. "Wake up. We're here." I said getting out of the jeep. I got Cass and we went inside the house. "Same wings." Kyle said with a sleeping Dani in his arms. We nodded and headed to the wing. I got Cass changed and put her to bed. I washed my face and got ready for bed too. 20 minuets later Aiden came in and got under the blankets with me. He pulled me close. "Good night Katie. I love you." He
said in a sleepy voice. "Night. I love you too Aiden." With that I fell asleep.
