The Underworld

I wake up and I'm on a boat. Where am I? Last thing I remember is... Oh, I glance down at where he shot me, but the arrow is gone. So is the blood stain that was on my shirt. Weird. The boat stops, and I climb off. I'm in a place that looks like Storybrook, except for the sky is a strange orangish color. And the top of the library is on the ground.

"Welcome." A voice behind me says, and I quickly turn around. I see a man, with blond hair, and he seems about average height I guess..

"Where am I?" I ask, my voice cracking.

"Welcome to the Underworld." He informs me, "I'm Hades, ruler of this place."

"So I'm stuck here forever?" I ask him, remembering what happened.

"No, not forever." He replies, "just until you don't have unfinished business."

"What's mine?" I ask him curiously.

"Saving Henry, you went all the way there to save him and failed." Hades replies, "so now, until the day you either confirm he's okay, or save him... your stuck here."

"Have fun." His hair turns into blue flame. He laughs, then disappears in blue fire.

"Weird." I say to myself. "I guess I might as well get used to this. According to Hades, I'm gonna be stuck here for forever."

Two Years Later

I'm sitting in my usual booth at Granny's. Today is the official day two years ago that I came here. It's also my birthday. I would be fourteen today if I were still alive.... oh well I shouldn't ruin my day with something as negative as that. I drink the rest of my hot cocoa and finish the cupcake I ordered to celebrate. I'm just about to walk out when I see two people I thought I would never see again. Mary Margaret and David.

"Hello, we are here looking for someone." Mary Margaret informs the Blind Witch, from the counter. "He has darkish brown hair, and blue eyes and a hook for a hand."

"Oh Captain Hook." She replies, even though she's blind. I don't quite understand how she could tell that from a physical description, but it's not my place to do that. "Sorry can't help you there."

"Oh, okay thanks anyways." David thanks them, and they both start to head towards the door. I stand up and walk over to them.

"I can help you guys." I inform them.

"Claire?" Mary Margaret asks, and I nod. She pulls me into a hug, and David joins in. "Oh, we missed you so much!"

"I missed you guys to." I say, even though they are squishing me, "I heard your looking for Hook. Is that true? Did he die?"

"Yeah," David informs me. "We have heard that there is a way for people to leave here. If that a true why are you still here?"

"Oh that reminds me..." I say, "I have unfinished business. Maybe you guys can help me if I give you directions."

"Umm okay, sure." David shrugs.

"Great thanks." I clap my hands together and smile. "I'm not 100% certain about his location, so please forgive me if I'm wrong."

"At least your trying." Mary Margaret says, patting me on the back.

"I've heard rumors that he's in the Labyrinth." I inform them, and they both look at me strangely.

"The labyrinth?" David asks me, "I thought that was only-"

"A myth?" I ask cutting him off, "yeah, that's what I thought too. Until I was in there myself. Hades uses it mostly for those who bring hope to the Underworld. Destroying any hope they have of happily ever after I guess..."

"Thanks Claire." David thanks me, "so what's your unfinished business?"

"Who else is here with you?" I ask them curiously.

"Regina, Robin Hood..." Mary Margaret starts but I cut her off.

"Wait Robin Hood the bandit?" I ask them, and Mary Margaret nods.

"He and Regina are kind of together, even though they both deny it." Mary Margaret confirms for me, "oh and Emma, Mr. Gold and Henry."

"Can we go see them." I ask them after hearing Henry's name.

"Of course." David answers, and we begin to walk back to their loft.

We step inside, and everyone stands up.

"Claire." Emma says, shocked to see me again.

"Hey." I say waving.

"Claire?" I hear a voice asks and I turn my head to see who. I see Henry come down the stairs.

"Hey." I say to him, walking over towards the stairs.

"I thought I'd never see you again." He says, smiling.

"Me either, which brings me to my unfinished business." I begin to explain, "it's you Henry. Hades told me because I never ended up saving your life I had to confirm you were okay or something... but now that your here I can go, I can move on to a better place."

"That's it?" Mary Margaret asks me sounding shocked.

"Yeah, that simple." I shrug, "will you guys come with me?"

"Of course!" Mary Margaret exclaims, sounding shocked that I would suggest otherwise.

Twenty Minutes later

"Okay." I take in a deep breath, then sigh. "I guess this is goodbye."

"Until later, yes." Mary Margaret says, tears filling her eyes again.

"Goodbye." I say, running over into Mary Margaret and David's arms. "I'm gonna miss you guys."

"So will we." David says hugging me back. I pull myself away after a few minutes and walk over to Henry.

"Bye Henry." I say wiping the tears from my eyes.

"Bye, Claire, or Alice." He pulls me into a hug, and I'm shocked. "Thanks for believing in me when no one else did."

"Your welcome." I say wiping more tears out of my eyes. "One more thing before I go."

"Sure what?" He asks me and I lean forward and kiss him.

"I love you." I turn around and sigh, "goodbye." I walk across the bridge and that's the last I see of them for a long time.

Authors Note: And they all lived happily ever to the end of their days. Or however that goes. Thanks for reading my story (I know I already probably have said that many times). I guess there's nothing else to say but: The End.
