The weekend arrived sooner than I thought. That was good however. I've made a special attempt in avoiding Shiro since the last chapter was released. I knew he was going to look for me, or at least, I knew he wanted to scold me for being stupid. I just didn't want to deal with it. I already had a mom. Yet, despite my successful avoidance, Shiro has taken no hesitation to call my phone a number of times, and which, all in reply, I have ingnored.

I some times wondered why he was so reluctant in being my friend when he obviously worried for me like one.

Though, that aside, weekends were here, and it was two days without him, but it was also two days of homework from Calculus that also added onto the homework that I've missed and the language arts homework to pile onto it too. I was stressed to say the least. I didn't keep myself until five a.m. in morning to finish them, but I definitely lost track of time doing homework. I have even gone as far as rejecting Bellona's invitations to be with her. As much as I hated doing it and seeing her sad, I needed to get my work finished as soon as possible, for I knew that it would only pile up if time passed.

To add to the discomfort, I went out of my way to cover up my neck with a turtle neck. However, it was already Spring, and it was getting ridiculously hot. As much as I despised the turtle neck for the scorching heat, I needed to keep it on to make sure Mom wouldn't worry and to keep the guys away. The thing is about those mosquitoes is that when one makes a move, they all want to. It was best if I kept my evidence of attack low key.

I decided to do Calculus first and focus on the language arts homework later on in the week. I did everything I knew, and I set aside any work sheets I struggled with. Hopefully, Mom would be willing to help me. If not, the internet was at my disposal.

I knocked at Mom's door and waited. "Mom, it's me," I said to make sure she knew I wasn't one of the boys.

"Come in, baby," she said. I twisted the knob and entered with homework in my casted hand. I saw that she was in her desk, doing some paperwork of her own. She lifted her head from her work and stared at me. "Yes?"

"Um, I was wondering if you could help me with my calculus work," I stated. I offered her my unfinished papers. She looked at them, studying them closely. She seemed just as confused as I was when I tried to work it out.

"X times Y but Y is Z which is the radius of the circle but you also need to find-what?!" She interrupted herself in spite of her own confusion. She hand me back the papers. She rubbed her forehead and laughed. "I'm sorry, but I don't seem to know that," she explained. "If you want, we can try to solve it together."

I stared at her paperwork. Just like me, hers was piled up. It must have been from all the days she's taken off for me. I didn't want to waste anymore of her time. I smiled back and shook my head.

"No thanks, Mom," I exclaimed. "I see you're busy. I can find the answers on my own. I just wanted to ask you just in case before I Google it."

"Google always has the answers, huh? Yes, that would be nice, honestly. I'm sorry, baby. I'll try to make it up to you."

"No, no, you're fine," I insisted. "I'll just go to Quizlet and see if they have the answers. The teacher said they'd explain anything I don't understand. Thanks anyways." With that said, I left the room and heard back for my own. Once I finished these papers, I think I just might get some extra rest.

I then suddenly stopped to see that I was soon to be crossing paths with one of the brothers. He stopped, and so did I. He stared at me, but I only began to sweat, hoping my turtle neck wasn't revealing the healing bite mark.

"Hey, Reiji," I murmured. I tried my best to walk past him, but he blocked me.

"I see that you have a few of the previous Calculus work in your possession. It seems like a lot," he exclaimed. I let out a small laugh.
