The next morning was a little less glamor and all the more gross. I rose from my covers with a loud groan. I could feel my head pounding so loudly in my head, and I wasn't exactly sure what to do about it. When I opened my eyes, my room was spinning, and even when I closed them, I could still feel it. So this is what a hangover feel like? Very much not a fan.

I leaned back, trying to collect myself. I really didn't want to get up-thank god it wasn't a school day or I would have just called in sick. That being said, how did I even get into bed? I remembered falling asleep next to Kou, Ayato got me a little while afterwards, and then...home! It didn't seem like there was any other important detail or event happening afterwards, so it was best just not to dwell on it, which was the best option at the time. Thinking only hurt more when I tried to look for answers I obviously couldn't recall.

I groggily craned my head to my left to see Ayato face flat in the pillow next to me. He looked completely dead. I nudged him a few times, and, for a moment, I thought he actually did kick the bucket. Though, when he replied with a muffled groan and proceeded to sleep, I knew he was fine. On any other day, I would have kicked him out. Neither of us felt great, so I decided that my nagging would take place another day.

"Ayato...Ayato...!"

"Nnghmm..."

"God, Ayato, when did we get home?"

Hee lazily rolled his head over so he could sleep. "It waaas... twenty...forty two..."

"That's not a time, so I'm just gonna assume late," I sighed, rubbing my eyes. "God, I'm exhausted!"

"Saaame..."

"I thought alcohol doesn't affect vampires? What is up with you?"

"Alcohol doesn't matter, but I completely drained myself. And I hadn't had anything to drink, so I'm completely exhausted," Ayato whined. "Now, lay back in bed! I know you're as tired as I am." He flung and arm over me and pushed me back onto my back. I let out a dry laugh, before pushing his arm off me. The author had written so many of these damn scenes, and I wasn't about to entertain another one. Luckily for me, Ayato had not fought when I pushed him off. Though, something told me that he was just too tired to do anything. I rubbed my temples before pulling the covers off me. My legs hung off the edge of the bed. Maybe some water would help me, and I think I was well enough to get up to the kitchen.

I wobbled out my room, leaving the redhead to rest. My next destination was the kitchen. A glass of water sounded great. I was still a little dizzy, but I was sure it would go away with time. I blew a raspberry as I poured myself a glass and chugged it, yet it wasn't as refreshing as I had hoped it was. I groaned at the throbbing pain. Maybe some medicine? Did we even have any? I could maybe ask mom, but she would kill me if she found out I had alcohol...-

"You look worse for wear," a familiar smooth voice came through. I lifted my head to see Reiji enter the kitchen. I scoffed and put the empty glass down.
"You hit it on the mark," I laughed before whining in pain. "I have the worst headache..."

"Water won't do much for you. I could make you some tea. I have heard rumors that green tea relieves some of the pain."
"The offer is definitely tempting...but, uh...-" I trailed off, not wanting to say what was on my mind directly. Reiji, however, was still able to catch on has he let out a low chuckle.

"Honestly, at this point, poisoning you would be a waste. Besides, I am in the mood for some tea anyways. I will drink it with you."

"Gosh, this the first time you ever offer to drink tea with me!" I gasped in fake surprise. Though, the glasses wearing male wasn't having any of it. He lightly slapped the back of my head.
