"What do you mean question 5 is 18?" I questioned in a loud whisper. "I got 47!"

"You must have subtracted first then. You multiply, carry the 4, then you subtract," Reiji corrected.

"Oh," I said in sudden realization before marking my paper. I looked over at Reiji's and pointed at the next question down. He had it unanswered. "That one's 8," I told him.

He looked down at the paper and marked it. "I see. Say, I noticed that your kitchen is lacking olive oil."

"Did you add it to the grocery list?"

"I did."

"Oh sweet, so you can teach me how to make inari sushi."

"I can. You need to stop eating all that delivery, fast food, anyways; it isn't healthy."

"I know, I know, but I'm taking this from a guy that bites necks to live. You don't know where those people been~"

"That's different," Reiji queitly argued.

Our conversation could have continued if not for the stares of a certain dark-haired teen Reiji and I shared a class with. We both looked up to see Ruki's bewilderment. We stared back at him in qestion. He seemed to have seen a ghost and was frozen in shock...Maybe it was a bit overexhaduarting it, but the Mukami did seem to have a surprised look on his face.

"What's wrong, dude? Did we say something?"

"...No..." Ruki hesitated but replied. "No, not at all. It's just...you...you two seemed to have gotten along better last time I saw you two."

"Is that so? Well, we made amends during our beach trips," Reiji explained. "We found a middle ground and though to exploit it." Ruki didn't reply, so I piped in again.

"We becamefriends...you know what those are, right? God, do any of you know what friends are?"

"Don't insult me," Ruki defended immediately. "I am fully aware of what they are. I've had some before. I'm just shocked that you two made up so fast. Did something happen."

MY mindflashed back to Bellona. Her corpse was still vivid in my mind. I grew silent as the disgusting details folded out into a more clear picture of blood, gore, and rain. I grimaced at the thought. I then thought of Jem... "Uh..." I trailed off, trying to find my words. It wasn't exactly what ade us bond, but that was the only thing I could think of. However, before I could say anything, the megane male spoke for me.

"We just made ammends. She's quite the convincing girl." He placed my hand on my shoulder as if to shake me out of my trace. It worked, and I immediately flushed out any thoughts of my small friend before flashing him a small grin. He only stared at me with a poker face. I could tell that he wasn't convinced of my act and quick recovery.

That's when the teacher called the Mukami over. The male looked and traveled up to the teacher. He had a small conversation with him, one I didn't really bother to look into. The teacher gave him a small pile of papers. When Ruki walked back to us, he motioned me to follow. "I'm going to drop these off to the guidance counsiler. I don't know where her office is. Show me, will you?" THough it sounded like a question, I felt as if Ruki's statement was more of a demand. I looked back a Ruki and gave him a goofier grin.

"Be right back, four-eyes," I state.

"Cease with the nicknames, please," the male stated. I purposely ignored him before standing up and following Ruki outside the classroom.

Once we were a decent distance away from our spot I gave the Mukami a nasty stare. "We both know that was bullshit. You know your way around the school. You've been here long enough."
