Marina's POV
Today was the day I get to see one of my all time favorite bands, Slipknot. I've know them since they came out in 99 when I was kid. Yes I am 24 and no I will not grow up.
" Marina lane?"
" yes?"
" could I have you stay late tonight for me. I'm not feeling well"
" sorry but I can't. I have plans already for tonight that are extremely important. "
" really like what. Going to see that lame band that will probably come back around. They ain't that good anyway" I shook my head rolling my eyes.
" you know the world doesn't evolve around you Isabelle"
" oh and it does for you"
" no. It doesn't. I prefer it that way" she laughed.
" well I had plans with my boyfriend to go out and get some of that good stuff- shit. I mean to go rest and feel better"
" nice try but no. I worked my 6 hours and it's your turn. " I stood up, shutting down my computer and packing my stuff up.
" I'm gonna report you again. "
" go right ahead. You're as believable as my unicorn" she glared at me and walked off. I laughed. That's why I hate my stupid office job where I sit in front of a computer typing constantly. I rather be playing bass in a band or something like that. I grabbed everything as started to head out as David tapped my shoulder. I turned and looked at him.
" hey. Do you wanna go out tonight maybe?"
" oh I'm sorry but I have plans already. I'm heading to a concert but maybe sometime later we can go get coffee "
" oh ok. Sounds great. I'll see you tomorrow. " I waved as I left and got in my car, driving home.

I put on my black tank top with the Slipknot logo on the front and slipped on my black studded shorts and put my high top vans on. I smiled looking in the mirror pleased with my outfit. Very ready for a concert on a warm day. I put some sun block on my pale skin since I didn't want to deal with a burn. I then brushed my long dark red hair into a high ponytail. My hair kinda reminds me of Sid's hair but a bit darker, like blood. Sid has always been my favorite member but I do love all the rest too. I mostly love the music though. I put on some eyeliner and mascara, filled eyebrows and some dark brownish red matte lipstick. I already have pretty defined cheekbones and it's a concert. That shit will sweat off. I smiled and grabbed my phone, my sunglasses and my skateboard and locked the door throwing my keys into my pocket. I was meeting my friend, Jane, there at the concert but she was taking her car. I texted her telling her I was on my way to the concert as I put my board down and getting on. I headed off to the concert excited. I was heading a lot earlier since me and Jane won tickets to hang out with the band before the concert with a few other people. Even though they allowed us to stand on the side of the stage, I rather be in the crowd since it's more enjoyable that way. I soon arrived as Jane pulled up. I kicked my board up and handed it to her so she could put it her car. I also threw my keys in there so I would loose them knowing me. We turned and started walking up to the guards showing them our passes. They let us in the back stage and behold Slipknot but Sid was nowhere to be seen. I smiled as they all waved happy to see us.
"You guys are early. Nice shirt" Corey said standing as I smiled
" thanks. I'm Marina lane and this is my friend Jane Jones" I shook his hand and so did she.
" thanks for coming tonight. You guys excited?"
"Of course. I've been a fan since the start but my parents never let me go to your guys concerts because you guys were too bad for me to be listening to but that's just my mom and my step dad. My actual dad got me into you but he died when I was 11. So first concert and I'm pumped as hell"
" oh damn. That's no fun. How old you now? "
" 24."
" hey sorry guys oh hello there" Sid's voice piped up.
" hey. I'm Marina and this is Jane"
" nice to meet you guys. Sid" I laughed.
" we know. "
" well cool. Whatcha guys talking about "
" nothing much. This is her first concert. Mom and step dad are not supportive of it. Her dad sounds pretty cool since he got her into us but he died when she was 11" Corey said catching him up.
" so whatcha guys do" they asked as we sat down. I sat down in between Sid and Jim and Jane sat in between Corey and Mick as we filled the two couches that were across each other.
" well I have a pretty crappy job where I basically sit in front of a computer and type all day. Still trying to find a better job but it's good pay for now. " at that moment my phone started ringing. I stood and walked over to the corner of the room, excusing myself as Jane started talking. I answered.
" Hey. I need you to come in now. "
" hey John. Sorry I can't make it right now. I'm a bit busy at the moment. "
" practicing your stupid bass is not important "
" well that's not what I'm doing right now but that is important. Playing bass is my life"
" then why can you come in. "
" well for one, I'm 2 hours away and also two, I'm with some friends. "
" they can wait "
" no they can't. It's fucking Slipknot ok?! I'm meeting Slipknot and gonna be at the concert all night so get someone else to cover. I already worked my shift for the day. "
" yea right. " I put the phone on speaker phone.
" hey you guys. My boss doesn't believe me so will you reassure him I can't come into work now. "
" hey this is Corey Taylor from Slipknot. "
" Sid "
" Clown"
"Chris"
"Paul "
"Joey"
" Mick "
"Jim "
" and Craig is here. He just doesn't speak but I'm telling you know that Marina can't come into work. You must have someone else"
" well boys that's not gonna cut it. Marina come in tomorrow and collect your stuff. Your fired " and he hung up.
" fuck.."
" you ok?"
" it's fine. I'm not letting it ruin my night. I'll deal with it tomorrow. That place sucked anyway. I'll be job hunting then. " I sighed and sat down.
" so what about playing bass is your life" Paul asked as I smiled.
" yea. I play bass. It's what I do in my spare time. "

New story! This chapter need to be split into two but I won't be too far behind with that but what do you guys think? I love hearing feed back from you guys. New Slipknot story.
