- day of the concert-
Oh my god. I'm bouncing off the walls.
" God damn calm down" Corey laughed as I looked at him.
" I can't. I'm too excited. " he rolled his eyes as we walked into the venue. I quickly walked on the stage as looked out. Soon it would be full of people.
" hey. While the guys do their sound check do you want me to show you some exercises that will make this not hurt tomorrow?" I nodded as I set my bass down and walked into the back room as Sid showed me some exercises. After that it was my turn. I did my sound check and rehearsed a bit.
" well I'm gonna get ready guys. " they nodded as Sid went to walk off and I followed. I need to as well. The others got mostly ready. I was too busy being excited to get ready. I walked in the bathroom and buttoned up my shirt. I'm gonna try not to give away that I'm a girl as best I could. It was Sid's idea so when I'm able to do an interview or meet fans, they would be shocked.
" I didn't know your middle name was Sidney. " he smiled as me.
" yea. It is Sidney " he cringed.
" don't call me that or I'll start calling you Sid 2 " I laughed as I put on the fabric that would be covering my head mostly and my neck leaving my face untouched. I began applying black body paint to were it needed to be. Lucky I already cut my nails so they wouldn't chip on the strings. I lined my water line with eyeliner and put some mascara on. Yes I'm trying to make my eyes look more black then they already do. I put the mask on strapping it on tightly but not too painfully but were it would stay. I walked into he back room to were Jay was wearing his mask as there was a few fans were.
" oh my god. It's him. The new bassist. Oh he's really short " the girls screamed as they hugged me and found out I had breasts.
" wait. "
" I'm a girl. " I laughed as they smiled.
" that's pretty badass. What's the name?"
" Marina " they smiled as they made their way to everyone. My phone buzzed.
David: hey. How are you and your new job. Sorry I haven't messaged in a long while. Just got super busy.
Oh it's fine. I got fired quite some time ago.
David: oh I'm sorry to hear that
It's fine. I'm in my favorite band now. We actually have a concert tonight.
David: really? What band?
Slipknot. The guys that came in with me. I took Paul's place though I'll never be as good as him.
David: that's awesome.
"Hey Sid. Do you wanna do me a favor?"
" yea. Whatcha need " I grabbed his hand and took him into the hallway
" can you take a picture of me?" He smiled and nodded. I handed him my phone and he took a picture.
" stay there. " he smiled pulling out his phone. He took one of me. I walked over to him and he put his arm around me as he took a picture of us.
" send me that please" I laughed. I sent both pictures to David, Steven, Kyle, Chris, Jane and a few other friends.
" you look so adorable in your mask " I rolled my eyes and went back into the room.
David: who's in the second pic and you look good.
My friend/ band mate, Sid.
Steven: damn girl. Such a badass. Tell Sid I said hey. I'm planing on going to one of your concerts. I can see you smiling through your mask.

David: is he someone to you?

I quickly stood since Sid was reading all the convos going on. Hopefully he didn't see

I texted each person individually and put my phone next to Sid's. I helped him slip on his mask as he hugged me.
" ready to go?"
" more than ready" I said putting the bass over my shoulders. We all ran out stage and started playing.

I began to play Duality when I slipped on some water and fell on my back. I groaned as I started to stand up. None of the guys noticed but the crowd did because a few people make a noise as I fell. I held my back but soon stopped so I could play. I ran up over to Chris's platform and stood on it with him as it started going up. We headbanged together as it went down and I jumped off. Soon that song ended and the next began

When I got off stage I took my bass off and pulled my shirt off.
" hey you ok" Corey asked as I nodded holding my back bending down
" are you sure. What happened?" Chris asked.
" I just slipped. I'm fine"
" oh. I saw that. I totally forgot about that. You hit your back pretty hard " Jay said as he looked at me.
" I'm ok. Yea it hurts but not extremely. I would let you guys know if I was hurt. " they all nodded as we walked to the bus. I pulled my mask off and head cover. I rinsed my hair and face in the sink. I was drying it as Sid walked in the bathroom.
" hey. You did awesome tonight. " I smiled.
" you did too. "
" I wanted to ask something" I felt my heart beat faster.
" sure. What about?"
" earlier, when you were talking to your friends, I wanted to know what one of them meant when they said you and your crush " I felt my cheeks flush red. Fucking Kyle.
