Marinas pov.
It just hit 5 as I clocked out and gathered my stuff as I was heading out the door.
" Marina wait" I heard the stern voice of Justin, my boss.
" office now" I sighed as I walked into his office and he closed the door.
" what's going on today? You cussing in front of customers. We had a group of 4 guys report you and not to mention this has happened before. "
" I'm sorry but today was not the day for me. It was already emotional as it is and they kept insulting me and I tried to shrug it off but they went to far. Yeah I could have handled it better than I did but I can't change the past"
" what's up?"
" today is the day my best friend died a year ago" I sighed.
" what did they do"
" they insulted me and the way I looked and for the music I liked, the insulted his band, Slipknot, and then they proceed to insult him. I couldn't take it after that and that's why I had Kassie take over them for me."
" I'm sorry Marina but this happens just way to often.."
" what are you saying?"
" we are letting you go. You're fired " I shook my head in disbelief and took off my button.
" I'll have you come in later to get your final check. I've been talking to the bank so they are getting it ready for you. Stop by whenever you can. Goodbye Marina " I just stood up and walked into the back and hugged Kassie.
" what's up"
" I got fired. Again. Because of those damn assholes. They made me slip and Justin has enough of it. "
" you're fired " Chris and Kyle said at the same time. I nodded sadly.
" of course it's on the day that Paul died." I said as my eyes began to water. This job wasn't even that bad. I liked the people who worked here mostly.
" hey it's ok. If you ever need us just call ok. You have my number" Kassie said rubbing my back. I nodded as Kyle handed me a paper.
" you might not like me and everything but I'm here if you need me. " I smiled and hugged him.
" well I best be going" they nodded as I left. I got in my car and just cried for a few minutes completely forgetting about the boys coming over. After awhile I drove home and got out of my car as the tears kept coming. I went to unlock the door but it was already unlocked. I opened it and saw all the guys plus this new person I've never seen before sitting on the ground with them.
" Marina. What's wrong" Sid asked quickly getting up and hugging me.
" I got fired because of some assholes. I cussed a little bit because they insulted me, you guys and Paul. After Paul I just wanted to punch him.. He reported me and I lost my job.." He hugged me tighter as I sighed.
" I miss him.." I said softly.
" I miss him too. We all do. " Corey said as they all hugged me.
" well I stink so I'm gonna go shower and get dressed. Call me if you need anything" they all nodded as I walked upstairs getting into the shower.
Sid's pov
It hurt seeing her like that. She's my best friend and it sucks that she got fired today. Again.
" so when she comes down I think after we introduce her to jay we will ask her. She's super talented and I think it's what she needs" we all nodded as jay sat there.
" that's just Marina. She's our good friend and she super talented bassist. Paul loved her. " I smiled and he nodded.
" she sounds cool. "
" she is. " I stood up and started going upstairs.
" Sid. "
" I'm not gonna do anything. I just gonna set something aside for her. " Corey rolled his eyes. I went into her room and laid down my shirt that was blue plaid one and I set down half of the friendship necklace I bought. I put mine around my neck and tucked it into my shirt. I then herd her starting to sing along to "Call me when your sober" and she sounded like an angel. I pulled my phone out and recorded a little bit and stopped it. I hopped down the stairs and jumped the rest of the way down half way down.
" what took you so long " I played the recording as they looked at me in shock.
" she can sing "
" she sure can. Definitely can be back up vocals if she wants. " I nodded as a few minutes she came down in a plain tank top and transformers pj bottoms. I smiled and pointed at them.
" I love them" she laughed.
" thought you would. "
" hey. I'm jay by the way. I'm the new drummer " jay smiled as he extended his hand. She shook it as she smiled.
" nice to meet you. I'm Marina if they guys haven't told you yet. Probably have though since you are in my house. Sorry about me coming into the house looking like shit
" it's understandable " she nodded as Corey smiled.
" I have a question for you " she looked at him curious.
" what?"
" do you wanna be our new bassist?" She smiled widely and nodded.
" I would love to be. Though I wouldn't ever be as good as Paul. "
" that's good. You can help with our album we are working on. It's dedicated to Paul. " he smiled and she smiled.
" I would love too. I'm guessing you guys want my face measurements then " she laughed and he nodded. He pulled out his tape measurer and did what he did to all of us.
" we do already have a mask for you but I'll let the guys know the measurements. What size do you wear as in shirts"
"Small "
" didn't you wear mediums?" She looked down and nodded.
" after the Paul thing I lost a lot of weight. "
" it's ok. I think we all did. I sure did " he smiled.
" I did too" I piped up and she smiled.
" well do you wanna go to the recording studio tomorrow? Maybe make some music?" She smiled and nodded.
" oh. We also will be releasing a few videos so once we get the songs done and the idea for it down do you wanna star in them other than playing bass since no one is gonna know you're gonna look like for awhile" Shawn asked and she nodded.
" I'd love too. "

" I got over my issues so I'm fully confident in my own skin. I don't mind that I got these" she said pointing to her boobs and he nodded.
" good to know " we carried on the night just talking away and having a good time.

I'm so sorry I forgot to update Tuesday and Friday. I haven't been on this app much so I'll updating this chapter now and the next after I get off work today. Love you guys and leave me your opinions.
