The ten year old girl's eyes were wide as saucers at the scene that was revealed before her. Within the entrance of the Holy Land stood the eldest of the Donquixote Family. The boy himself who was of the same age of the girl appeared bloody in his attire.
It was as if he just came out from a massacre alive.
What is he doing here? The girl mentally questioned.
The executive guards of Mariejois attempted to stop the young blonde from getting inside. The first thing she did was to hide herself from the present commotion until she arrived inside the Mira mansion.
•
"Minna, I'm home!" Helen called out the moment she went inside.
Most of the time, it's either her mother who waits for her in the living room. Sometimes, she is also accompanied by her father or her brother. Whenever the ten year old would say that she's home, an immediate answer would reply but it seemed to her that the three of them are not home.
Well, that's weird. At least one of them would be home, but. . . Helen wondered.
As the beige haired girl was going to get inside her bedroom to leave her belongings, it was also the same time the main door of the mansion bursts open where she saw her brother, who was breathing hard from running.
"Axel-niisan?"
"Helen-chan," her brother calls out to his little sister, still catching his breath. "You need to come with me. It's very important!"
The young girl immediately caught the urgency in her brother's tone.
"Matte! I'll come down now."
She immediately said and threw her belongings atop her bed with calculated precision while the door to her room was left open as she was walking down the stairs in a hurried pace.
The moment Helen came down the stairs, Axel dragged his sister by holding her wrist tight enough; dashing outside the Mira mansion. The two Mira siblings ran inside the meeting hall of the tenryuubito descendants.
When the two of them entered the place, the ten year old girl was stunned at what was happening inside. Her father, Saint Alexander Mira in a heated debate with the other tenryuubitos on a topic that was connected of what had happened earlier at the entrance of Mariejois.
It seems that otou-san recently finished presenting the proposal. Axel thought.
I get a feeling that this would be. . .
No, I shouldn't think like that!
Not a second later, the eldest child found that what he had felt became true.
"You wouldn't. . .accept my proposal?" his father softly stated.
A lot of reactions were coming from the sixteen different households of the founders' descendants.
"In short, you're telling us to accept back the traitor in Mariejois?!"
"You even dare back-up those traitors?!"
"The moment they renounced their status, it cannot be regained again!"
"The Donquixote Family aren't going back here in our Holy Land!"
"Once a traitor is always a traitor, St. Alexander!"
"What that family deserves is a cold treatment."
"'Live like humans,' he once said? Ha! Don't kid with us."
"Why would you even back-up that traitor of a family?"
All the bickering by the sixteen representatives from each family were being silenced by a pounding sound coming from a wooden gavel.
"Shizukani, minna!"
The chairman coldly told the entire tenryuubito body and faces the head of Mira family impassively.
"In the first place St. Alexander, why would you even propose the readmission of the Donquixote Family?"
The question coming from the chairman left the whole room in a thick atmosphere for a couple of minutes that even a single person could swear to hear a pin drop.
Helen's father was going to answer the chairman's question, but was interrupted by a loud explosion coming from the door of the meeting room.
