Helen stares off into space as she was in deep thought while leaning over the railings. Altaria, huh? I never have heard anything from that country.
The girl thought deeply that she didn't notice her father closing in, surprising the girl who was lost in her thoughts in the process.
"Ah, I didn't see you otou-san."
Amusement was laced in her father's tone. "And why is that?"
He stops for a second while the said girl attempts once to open her mouth and answer his question, but his father already beat her to it. "Well, did you have had enough answers to your questions?"
At this point, the daughter was given time to answer. "It's just that, I didn't have a good and proper timing to include my questions in our family meeting awhile ago."
"Oh," that was all he could say.
She gathered back her bearings, looked at her father and said, "Tou-san, how much longer before we will dock to Altaria?"
Alexander answered his daughter. "We will arrive there possibly by the early dawn of tomorrow." he brought his gaze towards the ocean and continued, "you're ready to see Altaria with your own eyes?" and returns to look at his youngest child.
Nodding was the only answer Helen gave to her father.
Athena was busy preparing and cooking for her family in the ship's kitchen. After all, she's not only a mother but a cook and caretaker most of the time.
One could say that in their previous way of living as tenryuubitos can be considered as the first independent family.
The reason why is because the couple was thoroughly trained by their parents that they should not depend on the slaves as what the other tenryuubitos, unlike them are doing.
"Always train yourself to be independent."
It was the only statement the present mother held dear.
She told herself that she was going to teach her children to do the same as what her late parents had taught her.
Athena was brought back to reality when she heard the arctic blue kettle whistling in a high pitch sound. Using kitchen mittens, she refilled the empty silver thermos with hot boiling water before replacing the emptied stove with a cooking pot.
Now, what will I do next again? She asked herself for she was already lost on what to do next.
