Once the beige haired princess entered her palace chambers, she immediately placed the box atop her end table where her family heirloom was supposed to rest. Noticing that the necklace was not there, she looked around and searched for the said item.

"Where was it?" she mused to herself.

It was only then when her bare feet accidentally stepped into something under the table wherein it felt the familiar prickly sensation.

"Hmm, how come its here?"

She ducked right under, assessing how far the item was. The seventeen year old thought of ways how to reach for the necklace when she realized that using her hands was out of the question since the legs of her end table was barely five inches short.

Blame my nosey little cousin princess of mine.

She huffed while ducking and reaches for the family necklace using a clothes hanger, which she grabbed from her wardrobe-cabinet, poking for the heirloom under the end table.

After recovering the fallen item, she placed the jewelry on the table just right beside the chest.

Gripping for support unto the corner edge of the table, she slowly stood up as she felt her knees become weak: a sign that she had overworked herself yet again. Letting herself rest, she laid down her bed for a little while thinking and sorting all what happened to her from the start of the day until her maternal uncle's revelation to her pertaining of the box which was connected to her family.

At the thought of another piece of memory coming from her parents, Helen willed herself not to cry as she looked at the canopy of her bed.

Okaa-san and otou-san would have wanted me to be safe and happy.

She turned and rolled herself sideways, now seeing her bedroom window which showcased the pitch-black sky outside.

No stars showed up tonight, huh?
