We went back to bed and had a short sleep. Donghae cried out a couple of times, probably in the middle of a nightmare, but we just ignored him, and all woke up at 11:30 at night, 2 hours after we went to bed.
Ryeowook went to bed an hour earlier than the rest of us, having a long shower beforehand, so EunJung, the best baker out of all of us, made a chocolate sponge cake with frosting and decorations. We helped with the decorating at 11:30 as we waited for the clock to strike midnight on the 21st of June.
Sungmin was going to wake Ryeowook up, being cute so that we could burst in with the cake and one of his gifts, which was little electronic panda ears with sensors so that when you moved your head, the ears would prick up or droop down.
As the bells on the ancient clock downstairs chimed, telling us there was a minute until midnight, we rushed upstairs and waited upstairs for a few seconds until the clock chimed twelve times. Then Sungmin softly opened the door as Leeteuk lit the '21' candle with matches. I creeped in behind him and watched. He went to Ryeowook's bedside.
"Wookie? Wookie??" he said softly and cutely, pinching his right cheek. Ryeowook moaned and turned over. Sungmin grabbed his shoulder.
"Yah! Hyung, what the hell...?" he mumbled, looking up at Sungmin with bleary eyes.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYEOWOOK!" yelled everyone else, bursting in with the black and white wrapped gift and cake.
"What the...? Hyungs, it's still the middle of the night!" said Ryeowook as the light was snapped on.
"It's midnight on the 21st of June. It is technically your birthday" said Kyuhyun.
"I was still ASLEEP!" he said, annoyed.
"And so were we. Appreciate the fact that we got up at this hour of the morning to celebrate, because it's never happening again, that's for sure" said Hankyung, yawning.
Ryeowook sighed, then smiled. "Thanks, hyungs, and yeojas, for doing this, even though you didn't have to and for once I didn't hint it"
"BIRTHDAY GROUP HUG!!" said Donghae loudly.
Everyone groaned except for me, EunJung and Donghae.
"Not again" said Heechul, sighing.
"I'm going to be squashed after this" Ryeowook muttered
"Please, not the Birthday group hug, it's so frustrating!" said Kangin.
"Ryeowook, in the middle" said Donghae, persisting.
The birthday group hug started out with Ryeowook, who was the birthday boy, in the very middle, then the youngest to the eldest caving into him, which meant EunJung and I had to wrap our arms around Ryeowook first, then get surrounded by Kyuhyun, Siwon and Donghae, then they got surounded by Eunhyuk, Sungmin, Shindong and Kangin, then Yesung, Hankyung, Heechul and Leeteuk. After 5 minutes of sussing it out, EunJung, Ryeowook and I were suffocated by the levels of tightness being given to us in the huge hug.
Leeteuk grinned and disappeared from the hug, grabbing his laptop.
"I've got Kibum on Skype!" he said, typing and then showing us a live video call of a boy with cute hair, and a cute smile with a nike hoodie and snapback on.
"Happy 21st, hyung!" said his voice, and he waved. Ryeowook pushed out of the hug to see the laptop.
"HELLO, HYUNG!" he yelled to the laptop.
"Wow, you sure are hyper for 12 in the morning!" said Kibum, blinking. He saw me and EunJung.
"Is that Yuri and Yoona?" asked Kibum.
