Sungmin stayed in the hospital for a week, waiting for his chest, head and arm to heal enough so that he and the rest of Super Junior could go back to Seoul. EunJung and I couldn't go back to Seoul with them due to the fact they ran on their schedules day after day, from early until super late so that that we would barely see them. EunJung and I would continue our studies at university until we graduated, then we would move from Wonju (in Gangwon-do) to Seoul to live with our lovely boyfriends.
Sungmin would assist us back to Gyeonggi-do, and then back to my parent's house in Goyang. He would then return to Seoul after staying for a couple of hours, while we would stay the night, leaving for our apartments in Wonju the next morning.
Leeteuk had to call the manager of Super Junior to tell him that Sungmin had been in a car accident and was in hospital. He was understanding in this and let all of them stay until Sungmin recovered.
Sungmin had his cast put on on his last day at the hospital before he was discharged. His arm had been in one position for so long that his arm cracked as he moved it and I winced as he grunted in sure pain.
"Can you hold my hand, HyeLim shii?" she said, his eyes wide and cute.
"Man up. Did I cry when I sprained my ankle?"
"Yes!"
"Oh so what if I did! I'm a girl! I'm allowed to cry!"
"Let's not be sexist here, you know how gentle Sungmin is!" said Leeteuk, who drove me down.
"Yes, he's so gentle he probably needs his mommy here" I said, rolling my eyes and taking Sungmin's hand.
"He said gentle, not babyish" said Sungmin. The cast was fitted in less than 10 minutes and he was done.
"Today I'll be out of here and we'll be going back to Goyang tomorrow. Then it'll be back to the dreaded schedules" said Sungmin, sighing. "But then again, Hankyung went back on a schedule last week"
My eyes flickered and tears built up under my eyelids. He would be the first boyband olympic torch runner in the entire history of the Olympic Games. The 240th runner, which means he would be running near the end. Siwon told me he would also be singing Beijing Huan Ying Ni: Beijing Welcomes You: at the Olympic games opening. He would be so important in the ceremony, and while my mom and dad and friends would be cheering for the South Korean Olympic Team when they came into the Olympic Stadium, I would be cheering for Hankyung.
"Well we're not really supposed to be calling him Han-Kyung" said Sungmin when I queried about why he liked to be called that. "It's supposed to be Han Geng, and said in the Chinese way, but it's easier if it's made Korean so that us Korean people can read it"
"Why wouldn't he let me call him Hankyung when he first met me?"
"Because he was just trying to annoy you. We told you that"
"Oh...ok" I said, a bit confused.
That night we all returned home with Sungmin, and he was given warm welcomes and the biggest serve of dinner from Ryeowook.
"After eating a weeks worth of hospital food your taste buds must be numb" said Ryeowook, setting a large plate of steaming hot fried rice on the table for him. "Tuck in, hyung!"
"I'm just going to go have a shower" I said to noone in particular. Sungmin pouted.
"But I broke my right arm. I need you to feed me"
"You are SUCH a baby, Sungmin. Fine then, I'll only be 5 minutes"
He sat back down and played with his fork while I trudged up the stairs, exhausted. I went to the main room which I had set up for me and Sungmin to sleep in on the final night. I got some fresh pajamas and underwear out of my suitcase and a towel from the closet and slumped on the bed. I shot straight back up when I felt something hard hit my butt from under the mattress. I frowned and felt under the mattress for anything strange and my hand ran across some sort of smooth, cold and hard surface. I felt around this object and felt spiralling plastic. I tugged it out and it was...
