We all saw it from the second he walked back into the house.
We all heard the door slam at 3 in the afternoon. As soon as we heard this, Kangin, Siwon and Leeteuk positioned themselves near us to stop a fight if it happened. Yesung, EunJung, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Shindong, Heechul, Donghae and Eunhyuk retreated up to their rooms to keep away from the drama. Yesung wrapped his arm tightly around EunJung as she shot worried looks at me. I stayed perfectly composed, not twitching or hesitating once. Hankyung grabbed my hand.
"Take it away, Hankyung" I said coolly. "It'll just create more trouble if he sees it like that"
He reluctantly removed his hand from mine. I sat, staring at the entryway.
"Why are you guys all going upstairs?" I heard Sungmin say, as if nothing happened 9 hours before.
"To keep away from the drama" said Kyuhyun boldly.
Sungmin sighed, as if being reminded of the incident. He stalked into the room and saw all of us. He sighed again.
"Dongsaeng" said Leeteuk, with a slightly cold edge to his voice. "How was your walk on the beach?"
"Good. Nothing interesting happened"
"Don't lie to us, Lee Sungmin" Leeteuk hissed. He pointed at Hankyung's nose, which still had streaks of blood across it and was bruised slightly. "What is THAT?"
"I believe it is a bleeding nose"
"Don't act like you don't know what we're talking about" he said, standing up. "You were the only one that could've hit him while you were down at the beach. He went down to look for you to explain"
Sungmin looked like he couldn't care less about what Leeteuk thought.
"Why do you care, Leeteuk? You didn't care when HyeLim hit him. You even said that her slap may have done him good. Why do you care now?" he said.
"Cheek!" yelled Leeteuk, and he went over to hit Sungmin before Hankyung kept him back.
"Eeteuk hyung" he said quietly. "Not helping"
Leeteuk looked at Hankyung, sighed and sat down.
"Dongsaeng, what has gotten into you?" said Leeteuk, looking at Sungmin.
"I could easily ask the same to you. You would never hit a member" said Sungmin sourly. Leeteuk's lips formed a thin line but he kept his composure.
"But I'm not back here to start another fight. I came back to apologise to you, Lim, for not letting you explain and hitting you" he said, smiling me that beautiful smile. I hesitated a bit but kept my cool.
"And I want you to know that I still want you"
My heart went rock cold. I wanted to hurt him like he hurt me. So bad.
"Well, newsflash, Lee Sungmin"
His smile disappeared at my hard tone. I stood up.
"I don't"
"W-w-what?" he stammered. I could just see his heart starting to crack.
"Yes. You heard me. Because you hurt me, You hit me, you broke my heart and watched me fall to the ground"
"I wasn't thinking straight" he said, his eyes starting to shine with tears.
"You promised you would never hurt me. And you did, and hurt your hyung too, when he was trying to explain to you. So I'm taking a break. And in that very long break, I'll be with someone who, believe it or not, loves me"
