I was so excited. I had wanted to see my Pink Prince for 4 years, so desperately. I wanted to hear him play the piano and see how much taller he had grown since I had last seen him. I wanted to hear his real voice instead of the staticky one on my cell.
He said I could invite one friend. This was a gamble on all of my friendships I had acquired, not so much on the guys, but on the girls. Each and every single one of them was in love with at least one of the members, but some more than others.
"Seul-Ki and Chi-Yeon like Shindong...no, he has a girlfriend" I said, erasing them from the list. "Su-Yeon and Tae-Jin like Eunhyuk and Donghae...no, those two have a bromance"
It was quite easy erasing most because the members they liked either had girlfriends or a bromance with another member. That left EunJung, who had a crush on Yesung, or Annabelle, who didn't really have a paticular favourite but blushed whenever anyone mentioned Sungmin. She was outgoing, pretty and fun to be around, but she also had a venomous tongue and was really terrible to people she didn't like. I was sort of scared of her, because she didn't talk to me much and was just a companion really, but I wanted to have her as a friend.
But I, in the end, decided to choose EunJung, since we were closer friends and she didn't like Sungmin like I did. I rang her up as I finished my suitcase the night before I left to go to Illsan.
"What's up, stranger?" she said bouncily, like usual.
"Oh my goodness, Eunnie, I have the most EXCITING news to give you!" I said brightly, as I carefully folded my plaid button up singlet.
"What's so exciting?"
"Well...you know when I was chatting to you and someone else called?"
"Yes? Hurry up and get to the point, I'm sleepy" she said, yawning.
"It was Sungmin! And he invited me and one of my friends, in my case, you, to go to Samcheog for 6 weeks!"
"REALLY? Lucky, you get to see him again! Is it just him or..." she started to whisper. "Are the rest coming?"
"All of them are going including me and you" I said.
"Yesung's coming?" she asked quietly.
"Yes! He is part of Super Junior, after all"
"Well, are we going straight to Samcheog? Does Sungmin know where to pick us up?" she asked.
"No, we're going back home to Goyang first, at my parent's house, and Sungmin will get us and we'll go from there. I'm leaving tomorrow at 10, so hurry up and pack your stuff!
"Don't need to tell me twice! When do I have to be at your house?"
"Before 10, ok?"
"I'm packing now. I'll see you tomorrow"
"Night, Eunnie"
I ended the call and lay down on my bed. Tomorrow night I would be sleeping at my Mom and Dad's, and the next at a beach house in Samcheog, sleeping to the sounds of waves, in the same house as Sungmin.
Sungmin...
I didn't usually wear makeup: I thought it made me look tryhard, and I wasn't trying to impress anyone, seeing as I was waiting for the 'Prince' to come. Annabelle always wore heaps of makeup, and boys came to her like bees around a honeypot. I had only packed lip balm and perfume in my makeup bag. Maybe if I brought makeup...Sungmin would like me.
"But he never complained when you didn't" said a mini me in a halo and white angel wings on my right shoulder.
"But he only liked you as a friend: he didn't need to, because you were only his friend!" retorted another mini me on my left shoulder, this time with horns and bat wings.
