Heart of Two (HUNHAN)

Being on the frontline

After Luhan took a bath, Lay sat on the bed patiently as he waited for Luhan to start talking.
Luhan had his pants on but he did not bother to put on his shirt as he sat on the bed across Lay, still wiping his hair dry with a towel.

"Well?"
Lay asked with his arms crossed.

"Well I think Sehun had my heart after all."
Luhan muttered not even making eye contact with Lay.

"Took you long enough to realize that."
Lay's voice sounded , making Luhan looked up to him in surprise and curiosity. His facial expression as if asking Lay what he meant by that.

"It was obvious you fell for him. The way you always laughed at his text and worry about him. And also the way you locked yourself in the bathroom and wept after you broke it off with him. Don't think I don't know."
Lay said as Luhan opened his mouth to interrupt.

"Never had it happened for Kris. To me, I had never look serious on you two's relationship. Maybe before you fell for each other hard. But now it seemed to me like two people trying to grab at each other with sex to maintain this relationship."
Lay finished.

Luhan gulped as tears once again formed in his big deer eyes. He sniffed as he wiped his tears away with the back of his hand. But Lay had pulled him into his embrace.

"Just cry. Let it out."
And Luhan lost control over his tears as they flowed down like rivers.

"Just.. Don't hurt yourself and Sehun anymore by denying your love for each other."

Luhan frantically nodded as he mumbled.
"You agree? For me to go after Sehun? After he might have gone back with Baekhyun? After what I did to Baekhyun years ago?"

"I agree for your happiness. If you think it's right. I see no reasons in stopping."
Lay said as he patted Luhan's head.

"Love you Lay. You are my absolute brother."

"Love you too deer." Lay laughed a melodious laugh.

Luhan knew very well that Lay was merely agreeing to him to make him happy. He couldn't blame Lay for that. He gone through so much and maybe Lay was only waiting for him to calm his head down before making any decisions. Luhan knew , that going for Sehun was not a good decision, if Sehun really got back with Baekhyun, it probably proved that he himself was just a spare tire to Sehun. And of course, he wouldn't want to be a third wheel and ruin other people's relationship.

But honestly Luhan wasn't acting like a good person for his past life either. So why now? He had always get what he wants and he never cared about other people's feelings. So why now with Sehun that he started to care? About Baekhyun's feelings?

Maybe because he owed him. He owed Baekhyun badly and they both knew it. If he did it, Baek would never forgive him ever. Luhan buried his head into his hands as he cried out loud. His life was a mess. 

With the one he loved being with the one he owed, and the one he just dumped, having to leave hundreds of messages and missed calls all over his phone. Kris had even come to Lay's house, but Lay had said he wasn't there and shut him out. 

Everything was so unorganised and Luhan was furious. Should he start living like a normal person?Should he quit?

Luhan made his own decisions.

Sehun dropped his newspapers as he read the title of the newspaper. His mouth gaped like a fish above water.

"Why indeed..I could never understand this man." Sehun muttered. He fumbled for his phone and pressed for the contact, but he hesitated when he couldn't bring himself to press down on the call button.

He doesn't want anything to do with you. 

But we were still friends right?

No, it made my heart hurt whenever I think of him.

But Im worried for him.

An inner battle fought loose in Sehun's mind and finally he dropped his phone, burying his head into his hands in frustration.

At this exact moment, Sehun's phone rang. He jolted up in shock as he took his phone up quickly .His heart sank a bit as he noticed it's not the one he missed. But he took the phone call anyway.

"Hey Chan what do you want?" 

A chuckle could be heard on the other line .

"What's with all the disappointment cousin? Im just calling to ask if I can stay for a few more weeks. And also Im outside so if you want a coffee or anything?"

A sigh escaped Sehun's lips as he said.

"Oh. Can't you just ask me when I get back home? You're weird Chan. But an americano will do."

"Ah.Just in case you don't agree, I could book a flight immediately. Alright then , I'll-"

"Wait. Have you seen the newspapers?"

"Huh? No why?"

"Uh it's okay then. Tell you later at home."

And Sehun hung up the phone. He couldn't stop thinking about Luhan and what on earth was so serious that he quit his job that he seemed so passionate in.
