It was already Thanksgiving. Time goes so fast. Of course my workaholic parents weren't here for us to be a family so I was in the house alone.
Sam was at my grandparents house for thanksgiving. I sat in my room eating popcorn and watching Charlie Brown when I heard the door.
I ran downstairs and saw it was Liam. Liam and I haven't had any real conversations since the dinner. I blame myself for that. I really liked him but after the dinner, I'm not sure he felt the same way.
"Hey, I just came to pick up my paycheck"
"I'll get it for you. I think parents left it in the kitchen."
"Wait their not here?"
"No, their working. You shouldn't be surprised"
"I just assumed that you would be having a big dinner right now"
"No I'm all alone. Sam's at our grandparents house" I said handing him his envelope.
"You should come over to my house" he said.
"No its fine. I'm having fun alone" I said.
"No your not. The house is dark. Your probably in your room just watching a movie and eating popcorn or something"
How the hell did he know that ?
"I'm fine. Trust me."
"Please just come over. I don't want you alone. Its really messed up"
I sighed.
"Fine. Let me get my jacket"
We pulled up to a two story house. If was white and the lawn was beautiful. We both got out of the car and he led me inside.
"Where are your parents?" I asked.
"Oh their gone too but my Mom left a huge dinner for me"
"Wow" I said as he took me to the dining room.
The table was laid out with a baked chicken, salad, fish, rice, mashed potatoes, corn bread, peach cobbler, key lime pie, and homemade lemonade.
"You gonna help me eat all of this?"
"Sure" I smiled.
We sat around his kitchen table eating and talking.
"This is really amazing. Your mom is an amazing cook"
"My Dad made the cobbler and the pie"
"Your lying" I laughed.
"Nope. He loves to bake"
"Well what happened to you?" i joked.
"My baking skills are actually on point"
"Yea sure" I said mocking him.
He began cleaning up our plates when my phone rang. It was closer to me so he handed it to me. It was Chris.
"Hey" I said.
"Happy Thanksgiving" he said.
"You to"
"Are you busy. I wanted to see you"
"Thats sweet but actually I am busy"
"Aw" he said.
"I'm really sorry"
"No problem. It'll just have to wait" he said.
"Thanks. I'll talk to you later"
"Your boyfriend wanted to see you" Liam said as I hung up.
"He's not my boyfriend"
"Sounds like your boyfriend"
"He's not and you know that"
"I actually don't" he said walking out the kitchen.
"Liam can you stop acting stupid"
"You know how I feel about you and I have to sit and watch you with another guy. That makes me stupid? He said yelling.
I got up in his face.
"No what makes you stupid is not knowing that I feel the same way about you. I feel nothing for Chris. All I want is you. Your stupid if you don't know that" I yelled back.
It got quiet.
We were so close I could feel him breathing on me.
He took my face in his hands and kissed me hard. I kissed him back with the same force.
He sat me on the counter and I wrapped my legs around him.
"I want you so bad" I whispered in his ears.
"We can't. Not here"
I sighed. "I know" I said smiling through our kisses.
We stopped and looked at each other. He kissed me on my forehead.
"You're right. I am stupid" he said.
I smiled and kissed him.
