Chapter: 18

Chris and I stayed up talking until 5am. I told him everything. I told him about my parents and the divorce. I told him about Liam and our relationship. I even told him that was the reason we couldn't be together .

He was so understanding of everything. I told him about Liv and how much she hated me. He talked me through everything.

It was currently 5:30.

"Maybe I should head out" I said "We both need some sleep"

"Are you going to be ok ?"

"Yea. Thank you so so much for talking with me. This helped so much" I said hugging him

"You know I love you right. No matter what happens I will always have love for you"

He squeezed me tightly and kissed my forehead.

I came home to a quiet house.

There was a note on my bedroom door.

"Dad and I are at the airport and then work. We'll talk later on" -Mom

I showered and fell asleep immediately. When I woke up it it was 3:15. I found Sam and Liam in the living room with his new lego set.

"Hey Sam" I said

"Mel look" he pointed

"Nice, what is it"

"Batman's car"

"Wow, thats cool"

I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a glass of cranberry juice. Liam strolled in seconds later.

"We're you that tired that you slept until 3" he joked

I smiled. "Yea well I went to see someone last night and didn't get home until 6 so I was really tired."

"Let me guess Liv"

"No but anyways I need to talk to you"

"Before you do, I just wanna apologize again for what I did"

"No its whatever. I know you didn't do it on purpose. I've had a lot on my mind thats why I got so mad but you don't need to apologize"

"Ok, so what did you need to talk to me about"

"Whatever we've been doing, it needs to stop"

"What are you talking about?"

"We need to go back to when you first got hired. Your my brothers sitter. Thats it" I said walking off

He followed me as I went up to my room.

"I knew you were still mad at me"

"Its not that. Its not that at all. I just realized that this is going no where"

"Thats not true"

"Liam what am I to you ?"

"What?"

"What would you consider me as ?"

"Someone I really really like"

"Liam I like you and I know you like me too but you haven't even asked me to be your girlfriend. Thats a sign that this is going no where and I'm fine with that. I don't wanna be toyed with so lets just be friends"

"Mel you really want to give this up"

"No" I said honestly. "But I think that I need to" I said before entering my room.
