Chapter: 27

Friday was my favorite day of the week. I didn't have any tutoring today. I could just relax and rewatch Glee for the fourth time.

Walking to my room, I noticed Liam wasn't here again. I hadn't seen him since last Friday. My parents were home more this week so I guess they gave him some time off.

My phone buzzed, it was Chris.

"Hey I need a huge favor."

"What is it?"

"Open your door!"

Confused, I walked downstairs and opened the front door.

"Hey, you need to get dressed." he said walking in.

"Why?" I asked following him to the kitchen.

"I'm going on a date, and she wouldn't agree to it unless I bought a date for her brother and its your lucky day because you're that date."

"Okay one, who is this girl? Two, why is her brother going on a date with you guys ? And three, why did you volunteer me for this ?"

"Its Rachel" he said smirking.

"Rachel and Ryan Grapelit ?" I said in disbelief.

Rachel and Ryan Grapelit were the only twins at school. They were both tied as number 1 with the highest gpa. Rachel was captain of the girls soccer team and Ryan was captain of the boys. They both won the school two championships. They were inseparable. You never saw one without the other.

"How the hell did you get Rachel Grapelit on a date?"

"It took a few weeks but she finally agreed" he shrugged.

"But she seems so up tight"

"Look, I've been purposely failing Chemistry so that I could end up in the mentutoring program. I specifically asked for her and we've been studying at my house" he said grabbing a water from the fridge. "She's amazing. She's not just smart and gorgeous but she has such a big heart. We have these really deep and intimate conversations" he said blushing.

"Wow" I said grinning. I couldn't help but smile.

"When i asked her out, she said she wanted Ryan there so he wouldn't feel left out so I told her I would bring you along" he said sympathetically.

I sighed.

"Fine, its just one date"

I went upstairs and got changed. Chris drove us to Olive Garden and we sat at the table waiting.

"I didn't think my Friday was going to consist of twins and oily pasta." I said playing with the napkins.

"Yea well I didn't see my Friday night getting cock blocked." Chris said rolling his eyes.

They showed up a few minutes later. Rachel wore her hair curly; every curl dropped at the same length. Ryan wore a cardigan and a polo shirt. I never noticed how cute he was.

"Sorry we're late" she said as her brother pulled her chair out for her.

"Ryan and I had a meeting with the principal" she said giddy.

"Is everything okay?" Chris asked playing with his fingers. He always played with his fingers when he was nervous.

"Yeah, it turns out Colombia University is offering us both full rides for their STEM programs" she said clapping.

"Stop acting so surprised" Ryan said cockily.

"Of course its no surprise but it's still super exciting" she said.
