CHAPTER TEN

Val just stood there with his eyes not glued to the girl that was hugging him but to Zendaya, unfortunatelly he couldn’t read anything from them. She just stepped back and sat on the couch next to Anna. Val was so shocked he couldn’t move so he didn’t even hug back the body that was pressed against his but she didn’t mind at all.

"What are you doing here?" He asked when she finally pulled off. He blinked few times hoping it would clear things for him but nothing like that happen.

Girl smiled big. “You don’t seem to happy to see me. I was expected a little bit more enthusiastic welcome.” She smirked, you could sense from to feet that she was really confident girl. She didn’t mess around and didn’t let anyone do that too.

"I am just surprised to see you here." Val didn’t know where to put his eyes, on the girl right infront of him that made him really uncomfortable or Zendaya whose eyes didn’t express anything and he was worried what might she think.

"Aww I hope it’s a good surprise." She smiled even bigger at him touching his arm in flirtarious way. Val looked at her hand and something flick in him, he wasn’t sure wheter he liked it or not.

Zendaya sat back next to Anna. It seemed like a girl knew Val very well and she wasn’t going to interupt that personal moment but she never let her gaze off the ‘couple’.

"Z relax or you will brun them down with that look." Anna grabber her shoulder gently getting her attention, she looked at her but her look didn’t change.

"Do you know who she is?" She really wanted to know.

"Well…" Anna started bittin her lip. 

That couldn’t mean anything good.

"It’s Val’s ex dance partner and ex fiance." She said feeling not knowing if it was her thing to say but after all Zendaya was her friend and she really cared about her.

Zendaya felt the pain in her stomach. Fiance? Not girlfriend but fiance? He was about to marry this girl and now she is here, this could not end up well for her. Even if she saw confusion in Val’s eyes when she touched him his body somehow responded to her. Zendaya sighed to herself.

"Hey I am sorry." Anna said softly.

"It’s okay." Zendaya said smiling but her smile wasn’t fully honest, she wasn’t mad but she was afraid. "We all have some kind of past." She was trying to convince herself that what she was looking at was a past. "I will go back to practicing." She nodded at Anna while standing up.

Anna knew Zendaya was bothered you really could see that or maybe a girl could see that, it wasn’t jealous but fear of what might have come. 

Zendaya took deep breath before she came up closer to Val and his new visitor or she should say old visitor. She wanted to slipped unotice she hoped that if she won’t look their way, he will let her go back to the rehearsal and she won’t have to deal with his ex now though he didn’t knew she already knew who his lady friend was.

"Zendaya!" With Val calling after here all her hopes disappared. She closed her eyes for a second before turning to face them.

"Yes?" She asked as politely as possible, it was a little but too sugar up.

A silence, that’s what come because when Val opened his mouth he realized he didn’t know what he wanted to say. He hoped that Zendaya would rescue him somehow but it was cowarding, he had to deal with this situation like a man would. He was starring at Zendaya who was looking back at him and her look was getting more confused.
