CHAPTER FIFTEEN

"What are you doing here guys?" Val stepped into the office letting go of Zendaya as he hugged his mother and father.

He tried to sound happy to see them but he could feel tension in the air and he knew it was mostly coming from Zendaya. 

Yes he wanted her to meet his parents but not like this and not yet as they were couple for like few hours? It was obviously too soon and his parents let’s say they had their own beliefs and they seems to be tought sometimes but in fact they were kind people tho it was hard to win them over.

"We wanted to surprise you." Larisa Val’s mother said. "but I guess it was a bad moment." She eyed Zendaya and it wasn’t exactly a nice look.

Zedaya looked down, she felt a little bit embrrasses and weird like she wasn’t wanted here and by the look of Val’s parents she wasn’t. It hurt her as she always was the person that everyone loved and no she wasn’t vain but fact that is was so easy for her to make people like her was something she was proud of but in this case, it wouldn’t be that easy.

"No, you are always welcome here." Val smiled to his mother and then patted his fathers shoulder.

"Yeah but I guess we interupted you and…" Aleksandr Val’s father looked behind him at Zendaya, he look came from curiousity as who the young girl was.

"Oh yeah this is Zendaya." Val turned around and hold out his hand for her smiling warmly. 

She took his hand and smiled back at him as she took step forward joining Val and his parents whose faces were hard to read they seem to be just really curious and not sure what to expect.

"And who she is for you?" Larisa asked wasting time for some guessing. You could say she knew what she wanted and didn’t like playing mind games. The things for her had to be open an clear.

As Val opened his mouth to say something his father beat him in that.

"Probably his new flame, he will enjoy her for a bit and throw away like all others." He didn’t say that to Zendaya or Val but to her wife. He even had a little smile on his face.

Zendaya was…it’s hard to describe what she felt, it hit her like a rock to hear words like that from someone who didn’t know her or her relationship with Val and as much as she was aware of his past as they talked about him and she respected it was his parents who were they to judge her?

She wanted to say something really badly but she bit her tongue as making things harder for Val wasn’t her intention now. She could feel his grip tighting on her hand and his body lightly tensing. He didn’t like the current situation you could tell that by his body language.

"What happened with Vanessa? She was such a sweetheart, I heard she is back in town?" Larisa said adding her two cents.

That’s when Zendaya felt her blood boiling. Vanessa or even menining her irritated her so much it was hard for her to stay calm. She hated her with a true passion and hearing that Val’s parents actually adored her made her even more mad. She even forgot that she basically was called a whore or one nigth stand thing.

"Mom..me and Vanessa it’s a history, a past and I don’t care she is back in town I won’t be back with her I am actually disgusted with her and I don’t want to see her." Val was clam but you could hear that in fact his words were hateful.

"So you exchange, an amazing girl, great girlfriend, very beautiful and talented with bright future for…this?" His father pointed at Zendaya.

"This has a name and it’s Zendaya." She said. Yes it came out harsher then intend but she couldn’t hold in anymore. They were treating her like a trash while she was standin there right infront of them. "And I do not appreciate talking about me like I am nothing." Zendaya let go of Val’s hand at this point for no reason she was mad at him as well.
