Chapter 12
(Arianna’s POV)
I just finished all of my classes for the week and am fully planning to let loose this weekend, making Addison get out of her bed and live a little my main goal. I honestly don’t understand her right now, she is obviously hurting yet she won’t talk to Aiden. In talking with Hunter I know that Aiden is hurting just as much as Addison is. I have tried so many times to get Addison to either call him or get over him, but she won’t budge; she just wants to sit and mourn the loss of their relationship. I’ll get her to go out this weekend if it’s the last thing I do.
I made a quick pit stop to Starbucks to grab coffee for Addison and me before going home. I was soon home with two iced vanilla lattes. As soon as I opened the door I saw Addison laying on the futon sulking as I expected. “Addison, I brought you coffee,” I chirped which just resulted in me getting a death glare shot my way. “Hey now,” I sarcastically scolded, “Don’t get mad at me, I’m your friend here.”
“Stop being so happy,” she complained and fell back onto the couch throwing a blanket over her head in the process.
I threw my head back in frustration letting out a large groan before making my way over to her. I sat on the edge of the futon grabbing the blanket and throwing it off her face before she could react. “Stop acting like such a baby, now sit up and drink your coffee,” I said holding out her coffee to her.
She sent me a small grateful smile for the coffee before reaching for it. “This really sucks you know,” she whispered.
Ugh, not this again. She has just been throwing herself a pity party and won’t attempt at fixing the problem. “I know Add-“ I said for the thousandth time.
“I just like him so much; I was honestly starting to fall for him. I can’t be with him though; we aren’t even the same species for crying out loud. I don’t know how you handle Hunter being a wolf so well Arianna, I wish it was as easy for me to accept as it was for you.”
“All right, stop throwing yourself such a pity party; you my dear friend need to get up.”
Addison blinked at me, stunned, “whatever for?”
“Well, despite the fact you have missed class all week you and I are going out tonight. Dillon is having this huge party tonight; I hear it is supposed to be the party of the year. There is some deserted barn a few miles out of town that nobody knows about. It’s a can’t miss, which is exactly why you will be going.”
Addison violently shook her head back and forth, “oh no, I’m not going to some party.”
“Yes you are,” I told her flatly, “I know you will have a good time, and if for some unforeseen reason you don’t have fun you can always just get drunk.”
“Getting drunk…that sounds a little appealing right now. I don’t want to go though Ari.”
“You don’t have a choice. Now come on, get up now and take a shower. I’ll pick out your outfit for you and will leave in a few hours.”
“Ugh I hate you right now,” she groaned, but got up anyway and headed towards the shower.
“I love you too,” I teased. At least she got up though, that’s definitely a start.
I waited until I heard the shower running before I pulled out my phone and called Hunter. “Hey babe,” he greeted when he answered the phone.
“Hi love,” I responded, not being able to hold back the smile on my face. “So, Addison and I are going to Dillon’s party tonight, and I need you to do whatever it takes to make sure Aiden is there.”
