*Chapter 4*

The weekend that passed I didn’t really talk to Niall, but he didn’t make any moves to talk to me either. I stayed at home and hung out with my parents and Taylor, they said we all needed more bonding time together so I just went with it.

When Monday morning came around there was no sign of Niall, he did text me though saying that he couldn’t give me a ride to school, so that meant I was walking.

I started walking and it was still the early hours of the morning, when everyone was either sleeping or drinking their morning coffee and watching the news. I always loved the mornings like this; they were so quiet and peaceful.

One thing I thought was weird though was that my friends Gabriela and Kaitlyn haven’t met up with me. I used to walk to school with them all the time till Niall got his license, I think that’s what separated me and my friends and we didn’t really talk anymore. I heard the sound of feet hitting the pavement and I turned around to see my two friends running as fast as they could to catch up with me. I laughed at them as they finally caught up.

“We didn’t know you would be walking this morning!” Kaitlyn says.

“Well I am” I smile

“What did Niall get his car taken away or something” Gabriela jokes.

“No, he just said he couldn’t give me a ride” I was desperate to change the subject, “Do you guys know when the book report in English is due?” I ask.

We all start walking then, talking about school and nothing much else. The topic of Harry Styles came up and that’s when Gabriela couldn’t keep her mouth shut. Kaitlyn rolled her eyes and I just ignored it all, even though I know I could never have a chance with him it pissed me off that Gabriela thought she was the queen because Harry asked her out and not anyone else.

Finally we were at the school and my friends and I went our separate ways down the hall. When I arrived at my locker I noticed Niall leaning up against it. It startled me a little.

“Oh, Hey Niall” I say.

“Hey” Niall looks down at the hall floor.

“Are you okay?” I ask him.

“Yeah, sure. Sorry I couldn’t give you a ride today… there was little problem-“

I cut him off “its fine, I don’t mind walking”

He looked up at me with his big blue eyes, I noticed his eyes were also blood shot, he’s been crying. But I know better than to ask him why, he always told me to never bring up that he had been crying, so I just ignored it.

“Do you need to be tutored again?” he asks me as he gets off my locker “I wouldn’t mind helping you again” his face was close to mine again, like the other day; I just wanted to kiss him.

I felt my face get red and hot as I was opening my locker, “If you want, I wouldn’t mind you helping me” I smiled a little.

“Great, See you later” Niall said as he walked away.

The word ‘later’ lingered in my brain for some reason; I shook my head and grabbed my books for first hour. I turned around and bumped into someone. My books and papers went flying everywhere. A few girls laughed at me and everyone just walked around the mess, except the boy that I bumped into; he was helping clean up. I looked up at him for a second and saw his brown hair, his hands went fast as he was trying to clean up all the papers and gather the books. I stood up when the mess was pretty much all cleaned up, I was checking to see if everything was there as I saw the boy stand up in the corner of my eye.
