Alone on the water

CHAPTER TWO

*Chapter 2*

Niall drove me over to his house after school, his parents were surpposed to be leaving in a few hours so then we would have the house to our selves. Thats when Niall got crazy.

I walked inside and his mum smiled and hugged me, "Seems like i never see you anymore Mimi! Your turning out to be very beautiful" she looked over at Niall "Make sure you take care of all those nasty boys for her Niall"

I giggled and Niall blushed from embarrassment.

"You got it mum" he looks down and you can see the smile on his face.

"Well leave you 2 kids to study, im sure Niall is a very good teacher" Nialls mum smiles and walks out of the room.

"Sorry about her" Niall apologized

"Dont be sorry, I never see your mum anymore."

Niall nodded his head a little, "Wanna go up to my room?"

"That would be great" i smiled

I followed Niall up the stairs to his room. he opens the door and i see the usual mess. He has clothes spread out

all over the floor, pop cans, candy and food wrappers, the whole deal. But thats Niall.

Niall clears his desk off and brings 2 chairs over to it. i watch him take out his book, a few pencils and peices of paper.

"Did you bring your book?" Niall asked

I shake my head, No, "I left it at school"

"Thats okay, we can share mine"

Niall smiles a little and pulls out the chair motioning for me to come and sit down. i plop down and take one of the pencils of the desk. Niall opens the book and hands me a piece of lined paper.

"Alright, First question, why do onions make you cry?"

I shrug "I donno"

Niall laughed "thats what the books for Mimi, Why dont you try looking for the answer there"

I groaned and flipped a few pages; i found the answer and decided to read out the whole paragraph, mostly to get Niall mad but also to show that im trying "When you cut an onion..." i said with my best science voice.

"Good, even though you didnt really think about it yourself. Write down your answer and lets go to the next question"

I write down the answer and wait for Niall to asked the next question.

"Whats the differents between radiation and radio activiy?"

I stuck my head up high; i actually knew the answer to this one.

"Unstable atomic nuclei with spontaneously decompose to for nucei with higher stability..."

I looked at Niall who just looked back at me in awe. "Wow, good job Mimi"

"Thanks" I smiled

"Next question, dihhydrogen monoxide is..."

"Its a hoax" I turned to Niall and noticed how close our faces were "A hoax for...um"

I trailed my sentence off, i couldnt think for a very long time. Our faces are inches apart and then i noticed Niall looking at my lips, and then he looked up at my eyes. We started moving closer to eachother, I closed my eyes waiting for what would happen then...

"WERE GOING OUT FOR A WHILE NIALL, LOVE YOU" Nialls mum yelled from down stairs.

We both moved away from eachother, what were we doing? He was my bestfriend and nothing else. But i did want to kiss him... and obviously he wanted to kiss me.

I cleared my throat "I think thats enough for tonight, I should go" I stood up and walked towards the bedroom door.

"Wait! Dont go Mimi, i dont want to be alone tonight, Please"

He grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes. His blue eyes begged me. I couldnt say no to him, he had a reason he wanted someone to be with him. I didnt ask I just nodded my head.

"Okay fine, but im not getting drunk again."

Niall rolls his eyes "Finneeeeeeee"

I laughed and walked down stairs into the kitchen and grabbed an ice cream. I leaned against the counter as I watched Niall grab a beer out of the fridge.

"You know Mimi, what almost happened up there-"

I cut him off "Its fine, Already forgotten." I assured him. Im sure he wanted to forget that had ever happened.

He reached up and ran his hands though his hair, I noticed some marks on his arm, Some ive never seen before, But I let it slip.

He messed with his hair a little and looked at me then down to the floor.

"I was actually going to say i want to try that... again" He laughed a little "Its stupid, lets do what you said and forget about it"

I finished my Ice cream and walked over to Niall, "No lets not forgetabout this. I mean... you wanted to kiss me?"

"Well... yeah really bad"

"But i thought I was just your friend."

Niall touched my hand and I looked at his moving lips, "Maybe I want to be a little more than friends"

I felt my mouth drop open a little, but the space was closed up by Nialls lips and tongue. I didnt push him off me, i didnt tell him to stop, instead I joined in with him. Our tongues danced with eachothers, ive never kissed anyone like this. The funny thing was Niall and I were both virgins, and we spend almost every waking moment together, ive never seen him kiss a girl, I felt Nialls other arm wrap around my back and pull me closer to him. The height differenace was hard to work with but we mad it work.

Then my phone started buzzing, it was in my front pocket and was vibrating against Nialls hip. I heard him moan and he kissed me harder. I had to push him off so i could answer the phone, we looked at eachother for a hot second and I knew our faces were the same. We were both stunned.

It took me a minute to answer my phone, but when i did i heard my mums voice.

"Mimi, Taylors home. Where are you?" She asked.

"Nialls tutoring me, do i need to come home now? were doing something important"

I looked at Niall who smiled, i looked down at his arms again and those marks were much clearer. they werent just marks they were scars, and i know scars when I see then.

"Yes please, you need to be here for your sisters homecoming, well go out to dinner okay?"

"Okay, Ill be over soon" I tell my mum then hang up.

I walked towards the door, Niall stopped me before I walked out.

"Sneak out tonight? I wanna take you somwhere" Niall said to me

I thought about it for a minute, I hadnt snuck out in a while, and i wanted to talk to him about those scars.

"Okay meet me at the stop sign down my street at 11, be on time." I tell him

"Great" he lets go of my hand and I step out onto the porch. "Oh and Mimi, your a fantastic kisser" he winks and closes the door.

I giggle to myself and feel my face get hot.

On the short walk home I think about Niall wanted to kiss me, and how it was wasnt a mistake. And that i also wanted to kiss him too. I couldnt stop thinking about the kiss, it was great, best ive ever had. Maybe Naill was right, Maybe i wanted to be more than friends too.
