Chapter: 18

-Lilly's POV-

After Mr. Marcer's class we walked to lunch, me as quiet as I can be, which did not go unnoticed. "Hey what the fuck is wrong with you?" Jovani said jogging up to me. "What the hell was what?" I asked. "Lilly don't give me that bullshit. I'm your boyfriend-" I cut him off. "No you're fucking not! We JUST reinstated the bet! And I wanna make a change. We 'date' each other but we are allowed see other people. And DON'T argue with me." I said. "You know you fucking changed." he said. "Yeah for the better. Why don't you go back to fucking everything that moves?!" I said. "Fine you fucking bitch!" he said. I slapped him then gasped. "J-Jovani I-I'm-" I tried saying but he cut me off. "Save it. We continue with the bet but to state something, I'm over you." he walked off and I stood there in the middle of the hall looking down where he walked off. I felt hot tears fall down and slide down my face. I turned around and ran out the front doors of the school. I walked to the back of the school and saw a couple of guys there. The Stoners of the school. "Lilly?" one of them said. I walked away and walked down the parking lot to the side walk. I plugged in my headphones to my phone and started listening to 'Nicotine' By Panic! At the disco. I blasted the song while I walked down the side walk leading to my house. I let the loud music drown out everything including my thoughts. I finally got home and luckily my parents weren't home so I walked into the house and ran up the stairs. I fell onto my bed and cried. I cried and cried. I cried not just because of Jovani but because of school, Samantha, Jake, life, everything. "It hurts, make it stop!" I yelled out loud to my room and myself. "Lilly?!" I heard his voice which made me cry even more. I cried hitting my bed. I heard my door fly open and I saw him standing looking at me with concern and worry. "Lilly!" he ran over to me and scooped me into his lap. "No! Let me go!" I yelled hitting his chest. "No! Lilly you need someone!" Jovani yelled. "Not you though! Get out you fucking dick!" I yelled at him. I kept punching him until his hand wrapped around my wrists making me stop. "It hurts, make it stop!" I said repeating what I said earlier as the hot tears ran down my face, tear after tear. "I want to! Lilly please just calm down!" Jovani yelled over my shrieks. I let myself cry on him for who knows how long and he just let me sit there on his lap as I damped his white T-shirt with my tears. My panic attack had finally simmered down and now I was trembling on Jovani's lap. He cooed in my ears sweet things making calm down slightly. My mind was somewhere else as I felt Jovani stand up, holding me bridal style. I was trembling in his arms as he set me on my bed and for a second I panicked, thinking that he was setting me on the bed so he could leave. "No! Stop!" I yelled, hoping that would make him stay here with me. "Hey! I'm right here okay? I'm not leaving you." Jovani said, quickly walking around to the other side of my bed and climbed in. He grabbed me and held me in his muscled arms making me feel safe. He draped a blanket over free making me stop trembling and I soon drifted off to sleep with Jovani's arms wrapped around me as if those arms were the only thing keeping me safe from the cruel world we lived in.

-Jame's POV-

I was walking towards the lunch room when I saw Lilly slap Jovani in the face. I cringed at how much that would hurt. I was gonna go see what was happening but I heard Jovani say, "Save it. We continue with the bet but to state something, I'm over you." and he walked off. I started walking towards Lilly but she ran off crying towards the exit. Jovani seemed that he realized what he ad done and seconds later ran after her but I stopped him. "Let me." I told him. "With all due respect but this is NONE of your business." He said to me. "You know what Jovani yes it is my business because you just hurt my best friend and once someone does that it IS my business!" I snapped at him. Who is he to tell me it isn't any of my business when it is my business because it involved Lilly, and whatever involved Lilly, involved me/ "No! She hurt me first! So back the fuck up James!" He yelled in my face. "Plus I can calm her down since I'm the problem." Jovani said. I nodded my head telling him to go after Lilly. I hope he was right. I sighed after he left and walked back towards the lunch room. Some guy stopped me and he smiled. "Hey you're James right?" He asked me. I slowly nodded, slightly creeped out that he knew who I was but that's probably because I'm on the football team. "Well my name is Jackson and umm I wanted to ask you a question." He says. I have to admit this guy was hot. "Okay shoot." I said. "Will you go on a date with me?" he asks. "Um what? Did you just ask me out?" I asked in disbelief. "Uh y-yeah but if you don't want to go out with me then you don't have to. It's not like I'm forcing you." He quickly said. I chuckled and said, "Sure I'll go on that date with you." I ripped a piece of paper out of my binder and wrote down my number on it. I handed him it and said, "Text me later." I smiled at him and walked into the lunch room. I might've seemed cool and collective on the outside but in the inside I was freaking out. Both in excitement and nervousness. I walked towards our lunch table and saw that Nicholas, Nathan, Jonathan, Katie, Jordan, Jada, and some girl already there. "Hey guys what's up?" I said dropping my stuff on the table. "Nothing much. James this is Jenny. Jenny this is James." Jada said, introducing us. "Hey!" She said. "What's up Jenny!" I said. "Nothing really." She said. I could tell that I was gonna like this girl. She just gave that kind of vibe or whatever."Hey where's my sister?" Jonathan asked. "Yeah where's my brother?" Katie asked. "Pft. Probably making out in one of the janitor's closet." Jada said. "No I got a text from Lilly telling me that she was gonna go home since she wasn't feeling well." Nathan said checking his phone. "Wow what a liar. She's probably going to go out with Jovani to go fuck somewhere." Jada scoffed. "Yo Jada what's up with you? Why the snarky attitude?" Jonathan says. "Jonathan why don't you shut the fuck up. You're only protecting her because she's your sister." Jada said in a bitchy attitude. "No Jada you're way out of line." Nicholas says. "Wait so Lilly can be all bitchy and she just gets worried looks but when I'm bitchy I get told off." Jada says. "You know what guys screw you!" She yelled at all of us and stood up. She stormed out the lunch room talking on the phone. "Jordan what the FUCK is wrong with your girlfriend?" I asked. "Like I fucking know." He said. "Uh I think I know." Jenny said. "Okay why?" I asked. "Well she was arguing on the phone with Ace who goes here and she was REALLY mad but you didn't hear it from me." She said. Nicholas stiffened. "Nick what's up?" Nathan asked. "Uh guys I gotta go find Jovani. Bye. Talk to you guys later." He said and ran off without another word. "Okay what is UP with our friends?" Jonathan says and we all shrug. "Wait Nate you got a text from Lilly but I didn't get anything." Jonathan said. "Jonathan calm down. If Jovani isn't here then he's probably taking care of Lilly." I said. "You're probably right." Jonathan said finally dropping the subject. "So this HOT guy named Jackson asked me out before I came in here." I said really excited. "Wait Jackson like the guy on the basketball team?" Jonathan asked. "Ummm. Him." I said pointing at Jackson across the cafeteria. "Yeah he's on the basketball team." Jonathan responded. "Well I'm going on a date with a basketball player." I said proudly. "Wait but I thought football was better than basketball." Jenny said. "Oh Jenny Jenny Jenny, basketball and football are equally good sports but I just prefer playing on the football team." I told her. "Ahh. Well I got to go. My class is all the way across the school and I'm usually to lazy to run." Jenny said standing up from her seat and gathering all her things. "Alright bye Jenny." I said. "Bye!" All the others yelled. "Bye guys." Jenny waved at us as she walked away, towards the double doors that leads out to the halls. I turn my body back facing the table and I immediately see Samantha Stewart walking towards us. I roll my eyes and Nathan follows my eyes to see what I was staring at. "Ugh here comes Medusa guys. Shield your eyes!" Nathan says and we all laugh. "Hey James." Samantha flirts with me. Oh how I'm gonna embarrass her. "Hey Sam." I said giving her a smile. "So I was wondering, do you wanna hang out sometime?" She asks. "See I don't think you want it badly enough. If you REALLY want me to fuck you, you have to ask me out in front of the whole cafeteria." I told her. "Fine." She grumbled. She stood up on our table and yelled really loudly, catching everyone's attention. "I will like to ask James out on a date if front of the whole student body." Samantha says with a smirk on her face. I stand up on the table too, grab her waist and bring her close. "Oh Samantha. How sweet of you." I said. "But bitch I'M GAY!" I pushed her away from me and got off the table. The whole cafeteria was laughing at Samantha. As she got off the table, she shot me a death glare, and stormed off out of the cafeteria with the look of fury clear on her face. When lunch was over everyone was still laughing and some even recorded it on their phones. Luckily Nathan and Nicholas recorded it too. I SOOOO wanna see that. I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket and found a text from Jovani.

Jovani: Hey J, Lilly is fine. She's fine with me. Don't tell anyone that she was crying bc Ik she wouldn't want anyone to know. Now gtg she's asleep and I'm tired.

I was glad she was okay. I shoved my phone back into my back pocket and walked to class.

-Jovani's POV-

I stared at her. I stared at her beautiful face. I ran my fingers down her soft face as I studied her beauty. I wanted her to call me her boyfriend but she thinks that I would cheat on her again but I don't blame her. True I don't know what really happened that day with Samantha but maybe Katie was right. Maybe nothing did happen. I pushed my thoughts aside as I carefully stood up from the bed and walked out her room without making a single noise. I silently closed her white bedroom door and walked down the flight of stairs, heading towards the front door. I know that leaving her probably wasn't the right choice and to think of it I haven't been making a lot of right choices when it comes to her. I screw up when I'm around her. I want her to call me her's and I want to call her mine but I screwed up that possibility and now Lilly isn't the sweet Lilly when I first met her. She was different. She had walls built around her that I or anyone else couldn't tear down. There is one person to be blamed for this and it's that stupid ass motherfucker named Jake. He obviously left a scar on her emotionally in the past and now he's opening up that wound. Nicholas and I have to work hard and fast to get this plan done. We both desperately needed our Lilly back and we will do anything to have her back.

I talked to Carlos about 10 minutes ago and he told me he was officially transferred over to Cape High and he was going to start attending tomorrow. I was still worried about Lilly as I paced around my room so I did the only thing I could think of. I opened the window and climbed across to reach her window, and I easily snuck into her bedroom. I found her still in her bed, sound asleep. I carefully climbed into her bed and cuddled up next to her as I slowly wrapped my arm around her, pulling her back to my hard chest. I wanted her to be forever mine but with all this shit going on I know it won't be easy to make her mine. It would take time and I first have to overcome the obstacles that are put in front of us by life, just so I could be with the one person I love with my heart, body, and soul. I admit it. I'm deeply in love with Lilly Ryder. She wasn't like most girls. She might seem like that sweet innocent type but she isn't. She stands out from the many girls I've been with. Everything about her I found cute. When she smiles she has the smallest dimple and I just want to kiss that tiny dimple. Her lips are so beautiful. Pink, soft, and made perfectly. Her laugh was amazing. Everything about her is so amazing. Yeah I know I'm sounding like such a sappy girly girl but this beautiful girl makes me feel like that. And if someone makes me feel that way, then I'm happy it's her and only her. Now to please my boyish mind her body was just so damn perfect for me. She had curves in all the right places. And her ass was one of the many things that makes me stare at her. And don't start judging me because I'm saying such things. Us guys, we think with our penis 90% of the time. Other than my guy side, she just so so gorgeous. And I could go on and on and on about how gorgeous, beautiful, amazing, pretty, elegant, and dreamy she is but if you constantly talk about someone like that the words start to lose their meaning. I just want her. All of her. Her flaws. Her mistakes. Her imperfections. I want her and only her.
