I woke up the next day with a slight pang in my forehead. As I reached over to turn my phone alarm off, I almost dropped it because of the brightness. I groaned. Classic signs of a hangover. How classy. Friday morning hangover. I almost threw my phone back against the wall when I noticed I had several messages from the night before. My insides soared. That never happened.

Perrie- was wonderful meeting you! Hope we get together soon, like tomorrow? (:

Harry-are you home?

Harry-hellooooo?

Harry-call me, I can't apologize over text.

Harry-now I'm getting worried

Harry-Leila. This isn't like you. Call me.

Harry-are you freezing me out because I didn't reply when you asked me if I stopped loving you? That's a little harsh. But at least let me know you're alive.

My stomach dropped, and I felt worse than before. How did I not notice these texts the night before? I wanted to call him but I figured it'd be best to talk to him in person, at school. I sat up in bed and my mom came knocked on my door and opened it.

"Did you have fun with Michelle last night?" Who? Oh. She assumed I was with my only friend. Right.

"Um, yeah. It was a load off. I really needed it. Thanks for suggesting that, mom. She beamed and her light made me crack a tiny smile, despite my situation.

"Well, hurry up and get ready before your father wakes up, he was in one of his moods last night." I nodded and frowned as she walked away. My mom didn't deserve that prick. But I guess since we can't afford to be on our own, she was gonna have to. I hoped he wouldn't do anything to her while I was at school. Another thing to worry about.

I walked into the cafeteria and saw Michelle. She waved me over and patted the seat next to her that wasn't occupied by her boyfriend, Niall. Niall was a sweet blonde transfer from Ireland. He was living with Michelle in the foreign exchange program, but when they fell In love, he somehow convinced his older brother to relocate his family here so he could stay.

"I haven't seen you in ages!" She cooed

"I know, I've been catching up on schoolwork." Which was true, I didn't do next week's homework last night so I spent all my morning classes struggling to get it done. I wasn't gonna let my new hobby affect my grades.

"Lei." Michelle was looking straight ahead.

"What?" I followed her gaze. He was standing there, looking at me. His eyes had a thing of turning a violent shade of forest green when he was angry. Guess that never went away.

"Did something happen between you two?" Michelle started tying up her long auburn hair in a bun.

"Cause I can end it right now." She said, taking off her stud earrings.

"No," said Niall and I at the same time. She started to stand, but Niall sat her back down. I saw Harry glare at me and stalk out of the cafeteria. My phone buzzed.

Group Message with: Perrie, Jesy

Perrie-what was that?

Jesy-is he angry at you?

Me-I have no idea. But I'm gonna find out.

I will make sure of it.

It was after school, and I was about to head to my car and go to Michelle's, when I thought about Harry. I quickly texted Michelle and told her I was gonna be late to talk to him.
