Chapter Ten:

   ~*Katalina*~

Katalina smiled at him. Just yesterday he had rejected her, and now they were holding hands on their way to Katalina's house. "So, uh, I dont really know how to--I've never really, uh..." Katalina shook her head, a blush creeping into her face.

Aric laughed softly. "Twenty Questions; let's start there." He seemed pained, having an internal war with himself.

Katalina stopped and turned to look at him. "What's wrong?"

Aric's head snapped in her direction. "Oh, I was just arguing with myself." He answered. Katalina just kept looking at him. He almost squirmed under her gaze. "So, uh, what's your middle name?"

Katalina quirked an eyebrow and began to walk again, her hand not clutching as tightly it had before. "Marie."

Aric nodded, looking down at Katalina. This was all so new to both of them; they hardly knew how to respond to the situation. "Pretty. OK, your turn."

   Katalina thought. "Favorite Super-Hero?"

"That's easy. Wolverine." Aric said, mocking a serious tone. Katalina laughed.

"Ofcourse Wonderwoman is stronger than--." She tried.

Aric dropped her hand, covering his ears. "La, la, la, la!" He sang, smiling and closing his eyes. "I cant hear you!"

Katalina laughed, moving in front of Aric. She held his arms down as she yelled, "Wonder woman is better!"

Aric shook his head. "No!" He yelled dramatically. Katalina laughs, closing her eyes while holding her stomach.

Aric watches her, smiling. He takes her hands in an intimate way, and her eyes snap open. Aric smiles at her. Katalina smiles back. Aric leans in, causing Katalina's eyes to widen. His lips brush hers.

An electric bolt goes through them both. Katalina gasps softly while Aric smiles against her lips. "Feel that?" He asked.

Katalina nodded, putting her forehead against his. "Yes."

"I think it's time you come to my house."

Katalina gasped, stepping back. "You mean your house full of wolves?"

Aric nodded, confused. "Yes. Is that a problem?"

"I-I have to go now. Bye." She mumbled, holding her bag and walking away. Aric watched he leaving, knowing she needed time to think about it.

~*Aric*~

Sighing, Aric shoved his hands into his pockets and walked towards home. As soon as he walked onto the forest floor, he heard a booming voice yell, "ARIC JENSON!"

Aric cringed. His father had something VERY important to say to him. Aric began to sprint his way home. Once there, he waltzed into the office where his father sat fuming. "Aric!"

Aric sighed, and mocked his father by saying, "Dad!"

"Dont you dare mock me, son. You did that once today and I dont want to see it again." Paul Jenson said, standing.

   Aric paused. "What?"

"You heard me, Aric. You attacked a human? In front of a high school scattered with police no less!"

Aric nodded, remebering now. "He touched my mate." He growled, looking at his Dad. Paul went quiet.

It was a long silence of the two men staring at each other. "Dont let it happen again, Aric." His father finally said.
