Nate got up and went to his and Nick's room. A few seconds later Ace walks in. "You're sick? And you didn't tell me? What the hell Kin?" "I didn't know until Nate told me he was making me go to the hospital even though I can't." I defended myself quickly. "You're afraid... And I should have known that... I made you sad just now... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that." I stood up and hugged him. "If you hide me I'll never think of it again." I said urgently. "No you have to go to the hospital. We have to know what's wrong." I let go of him and walked to the door. "Good luck f-nding me th-en." I said and ran out. I went down the stairs taking them two at a time because I wanted out of the stairwell as quickly as possible and snuck into the janitors room.

A guy around 17 or 18 was sitting there and I smiled secretly. "Hey can I help you lady?" I turned and looked at him and smiled innocently. "Do you know of anywhere I could hide in this place where my brother can't find me?" I asked sweetly and smiled at him brightly. He took a deep breath and looked me over. "Umm... yeahhh... I... Just uhh f.follow... me uhh me.." I nodded and he lead me into their laundry room. "Thank you so much! I owe you! Oh I'm also hiding from three other people I don't know if you'll know who they are though.. Nate and Nick Diaz and Mike Kogan..?"

He freaked out and sounded like a teenage girl taking about Johnny Depp. "Can you be quiet please kid? They're trying to make me go to the fucking hospital." He nodded and shut up and I smiled then he went to sit back at his desk. A few minutes later my phone rang and I answered it quickly. "Hello?" I asked confused because the number was blocked. "Where are you at beautiful? Are you that afraid of the hospital?" I looked at the door and hung my head "I'm in the janitors laundry room.... Meet me downstairs." I said as I walked to the door. "Are you really that afraid of them?" He asked sweetly. "Nate... yes... I am that afraid of them. They run tests and put me on things that make me numb because that's the only way to take the pain away. The medicine makes me say things the nurses don't need to know and they get me hit." I walked out and as I passed the kid Nate said "I love you and I won't let anything happen to you. You're mine now." "I love you too Nate. I'm only yours as long as you're mine. And only mine."

"Always beautiful." I had it on speaker and the kids eyes were the size of Jupiter. I giggled quietly to myself. "Did you say something baby?" He asked me sounding protective. "No sweetheart I didn't. Why?" He didn't answer my question when he spoke again. "I'm right outside the janitors room." I smiled and hung up on him so I could hug him as I stepped out of the room. I hugged him tight but my arms seemed weak. "Are you okay?!" He asked obviously worried. "I don't want to go to the hospital. I want to be with you." "I'll be by your side the entire time." He said sweetly as he picked me up and carried me out to the truck. Ace was behind the wheel and Nate sat me in the passenger seat then climbed in behind me. I laid down in the seat and closed my eyes. Nate reached over the backrest and played with my hair. I fell asleep on the way to the hospital and was carried inside.

I wasn't woke up until the doctor came in and started asking questions that Ace and Nate couldn't answer. "Is she on any medication?" "Just her birth control. That I've ever heard of. She usually tells me everything." Ace answered. "Is she allergic to anything?" "No." "Is she pregnant or has she ever been pregnant?" "Dude. She's on birth control. No." "Actually..." I interjected quietly. Ace looked at me confused. "Well you remember that time when Raymond.... yeah.. Well he got me pregnant then when he found out he kicked me in the stomach and caused a miscarriage. I wanted to tell you but he threatened my life... I'm sorry." My eyes filled with tears. "How long ago was that?" the doctor asked. "14 years. It's healed last they checked." Nate, Nick and Mike looked at me. "You were 9 years old and he did that?" I nodded and the doctor seemed to realize something. "McKinley McCarty? Aren't you the one that has been in and out of here for years with freak accidents? They have always been vague and no details have ever been given... We spent two years working with police on your case file. We couldn't ever find a lead. We were always suspicious though."
