When Mike and Jaylynn walked in I smiled brightly. "Hey there pretty girl! You must look just like your mama cause you're way prettier than Mikey!" She giggled and I made Ace help her up in the bed without knocking the stuff over. Mike was smiling and he took a picture of us. "She looks just like her daddy thank you very much." I laughed and she giggled again. "I think she looks just like me. What do you think Jaylynn?" I said and Ace shook his head. She nodded and I wondered if she was shy. "Are you gonna talk to me or do I have to do this without talking?" She looked over her shoulder at Mike. "Okay. You two get outta here. Me and my little sister are breaking down barriers. Got it?" They agreed and I looked at the clock on the wall. It was a little after 9:30 and I didn't know if I could do her nails before the nurses started showing up. She was looking around and trying to avoid eye contact. "What's your favorite song kid?" She shrugged and I pulled up the playlists I made based on what Mike had listened to in front of me. I handed her my phone and she started scrolling through music. "That's what daddy listens to." "I know it. I made that list for him. Do you listen to something else?" She nodded and shook her head at the same time. "What does he let you listen to?" She thought for a second and I wondered if she would lie to me about it. "Most stuff. There's some that he won't let me hear. There's some fighters he won't let me talk to too though." I nodded and pulled up my Inexplicit playlist and handed the phone back to her after turning the connection to my speaker on. "If I don't have it you can download it." Her eyes got wider as she scrolled through the songs. "You have EVERYTHING on here!" She was smiling widely and I knew I had made a breakthrough. "This one!" She said and played an Eli young band song that I didn't expect her to know. We sang along to even if it breaks your heart and she was really quiet about her singing.

I got about halfway through her second hand I heard a knock on the door. "It's open!" A nurse opened the door carrying a plate of food. "Ugh prison food. At least Nashville gives low crime inmates good food. I mean really. My father still has his cell phone." She looked afraid and Jaylynn looked at me like she was afraid. "Your father?" I nodded. "Oh. Yeah. Don't worry about that. Don't listen to anything I say that isn't directed to an actual person that you know personally okay sweetie?" She nodded and the only thing I could think of was that Mike was going to kill me if he knew I had said something about prison to his baby. My hands shook as I asked the nurse if I was allowed to have real food. "I mean Ace will get me food if I actually want food." "I don't see why not." She said this as she backed out if the room. "Daddy will bring you food. Why would he not? You're my favorite fighter ever. Are you gonna be a Gracie like everyone else?" I smiled at her. "Well of course! But I think that my fiancée should buy it, don't you?" She smiled and basically jumped up. "You guys are getting married?!" I nodded. "Well.. He hasn't technically asked yet. He wants a ring. You wanna see a picture of him with his face shaved like Ironman?" She grinned, nodded really fast and handed me my phone. I pulled up the pictures from this morning and she giggled. "He is really handsome. You're lucky! I bet I know what a baby would look like if you guys had one!" I smiled and she handed me back my phone. "You wanna see something cool?" She nodded and I called Ace.

"Hey babe! What's up?!" Nick answered. I was confused. "Uhh... Why do you have Ace's phone, Nick?" "He left it on the table and I wanted to call someone babe. He's on his way back over here now. Do you know what picture comes up when you call him?" "No I have no clue. Why?" "Because it looks professional and I was gonna ask who took it." He stopped talking for a second. "What is it?" "You in what looks like a prom dress and you're like throwing your hair up because it's all feathered out." "Oh crap. He took that. That's from freshman year of high school. I'm gonna send him a picture, do me a favor and change it. But I do need to talk to him." "Okay! Here you go!" Ace took the phone and I made sure it was him. "What's your moms middle name?" "Rose but if you mention the fact that her name is two flowers and a Mexican name she gets pissed." "Okay. Come up to the room but bring me a little food. I'm gonna get sick if I don't eat I guess." He agreed and was up before too long. I ate a little food and looked at him. "Lynn watch his eyes." He had a happy green going and I kept staring at him. I felt sick and I knew he could see it in my eyes and his slowly registered and changed to the worried blue they then marbled with the green because he understood what was going on here. "Thank you Ace." I said really sweetly and his eyes changed to the needy green and the wanting blue speckled into it. She was sitting there with an awed expression and he saw this then managed to change his eyes to the deep sad blue they get and he told her to watch my eyes. I cocked my head to the side and was worried about him. "Hey Kin." "What?" "I sold your Corvette. We got 3500 out of her."
