Chapter 5: Hi

Today, I woke up super early, earlier than Lyric did, I decided to make her a perfect breakfast for being there for me, and just being a Great Friend. So, she loves scrambled eggs with bacon and orange juice, I was cooking it until, I heard Lyric coming, I was like damn she not supposed to know I'm making her a special breakfast, and I decided I'll just let her see me cook it. It was weird she sounded very excited, she yelled "Hayley, Hayley,Hayley!" I said "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah", Lyric came to the kitchen and yelled in excitement "Damn, what smells good anyways, I told Shawn everything and wants to meet you!" I was so Shocked and said calmly which I wasn't inside but, she's my friend " The smell is your favorite breakfast, and you told Shawn I liked him!" Lyric answered "No, I would never do that to you, I just told him that you wanted to meet him, don't you?" I answered in a nervous voice "Yeah I do", Lyric said "Ok what's the problem?", and I told her that I wasn't ready and to nervous to talk to him. Lyric just said well it's to late he's coming over for dinner but, she told me don't worry she'll help me through this. And, if I felt uncomfortable to tell her. In my mind, I was yelling Oh My Goodness, He's coming over I have to find a great outfit! So, I finish cooking Lyric's breakfast, we both sat down and were eating breakfast, we were talking about tonight, she just told me that other than Shawn being a womanizer he's a great guy, and I asked her this dumb question slowly "Do you like Shawn?" She yelled "No, you like him and I wouldn't try to like the same guy you like you're my best friend!" I didn't yell but, said "I'm sorry, It just seemed like you and Shawn like each other", Lyric calmly said " I don't like him just to let you know, look I'm gonna take a shower", and I said "Ok". Lyric left, I was just sitting at the table by myself just thinking about Shawn, tonight, if Lyric is mad about the question, what I'm gonna wear for tonight, what if he talks to me, and how's he gonna look like".

7:00 p.m
So, I'm wearing a blue dress and Lyric is wearing a silver dress that looked so better than mine. Thank goodness, I was wearing deodorant, I was so nervous I was sweating like a pig, and my hands are so wet from sweat haha, that rhymed. Lyric and I were sitting on the couch just waiting for him until, I heard a knock at the door, Lyric and I just stared at each other, she said "You open the door", and I nodded which meant yes but, I was so nervous I couldn't talk. I was walking to the door while Lyric was behind me, it felt like an hour just from walking to the door, and I finally got close to the door knob. I turned back to look back at Lyric, she smiled at me, and I smiled back at her. I slowly opened the door, he said "Oh my gosh, what took so long?", I hid behind the door, he didn't see me but, he looked at Lyric, Lyric answered with "Sorry, we were fixing the table", Shawn answered with "We?", Lyric pointed behind him to me, and he looked back at me. My heart was beating so fast, I closed the door, he was walking to me, handing me his hand to shake, and said "Hi, how are you doing?", I nervously answered with "Ok, and you?", he answered with "I'm fine", I didn't shake so, he shooked my hand and smiled at me, all I felt was his soft and cold hands. Shawn went to sit at the living room, Lyric asked "So, how is he so far?", I was completely frozen with my hand out fron when he shook it but, answered with "He's is so fine", she was snapping at me but, I snapped out of it, Lyric told me "Come on let's get to meet him", and told her "I can't do this I'll just keep on getting frozen when he looks at me". Lyric went to tell Shawn to hold on for us. Lyric told me in a I'm sick of tired of this voice "Come on, you can't be shy forever, what if one day, he likes you, you're just gonna be frozen all the time, and just snap out of it", I was pretty mad but, she is absolutely right I'm too afraid to talk to just a guy, I just answered "I'll try to talk to him", she smiled and with an exciting voice said "Ok!" She told me to come on, I took a deep breath, and started walking to her.
