Chapter 40: Forgiveness

Hayley's POV:
So, I woke up in the afternoon and I was home alone.

I guess they all went out, that was a good thing because I wanted to be alone anyways.

I sat at the kitchen table, drinking water, I thought maybe Shawn is right, I should find someone, just because I want our baby to have a normal life, and it wouldn't be fair for it to not have a father.

I still don't think I even want the baby to be honest.

I don't know what I want but I do know that I don't want another boyfriend.

Not because of what happened to Shawn it's because I just don't want one.

"Hey, are you going to the funeral?", Shawn asked from behind me.

"Stop doing that", I said quickly turning around.

"Look I'm sorry I just love playing around"

"What your funeral?", I asked him with a concerned look.

"Yeah"

"No"

"Why not?"

"Because I never even knew that you were gonna have a funeral"

"Oh, no one told you"

"Uh yeah"

"It's probably because you killed me, I guess"

"It was in self-defense!"

"Just calm down, I'll handle this"

"What are you gonna do, go to someone's house and haunt them until they invite me?"

"I'm not a ghost, but I could do that"

"You're not doing that"

"Fine, have you checked your mail then?"

"No"

"Go check then"

"Okay"

I went outside to go check the mail.

Then, I went back inside.

"So, did you get it?", Shawn asked.

"Yeah"

"That's awesome"

"Yeah but I'm sorry I didn't help with it"

"That's okay as long as you're going"

"They asked me to do a speech"

"What?"

"They want me to do a speech about you"

"That's good news"

"But I thought everyone hates me especially your family"

"I know right, you should talk to them about what happened"

"What no"

"Why not, you can tell them what happened and people won't hate you"

"I can't"

"Stop saying you can't, you can"

I just nodded my head no.

"Come on you love me just as much as they do"

"What if they try to kill me?"

"They won't, just do it for me, if they see how much you love me, then they'll forgive you"

"I don't know....."
