By the time we got back to our apartment, we'd discussed everything we were worried about, some things we hadn't even thought of and done the ultrasound, which we showed a copy of to the lads immediately upon coming home.
"So; how'd it go? Did ye talk to him about everything you were worried about?" Harry asked, looking up at us from the scan the lads had been examining.
"Yeah, we did. He explained everything to us. I think we should be OK." I sighed, leaning against Liam as we stood watching for the lads' reactions to what was, at the minute, nothing more than a blob of black and white.
"At least until we think of something else to freak out about." Liam laughed, squeezing my shoulders and grinning at me when I slapped his chest lightly.
"Don't say that!" I chastised, pouting at the grin Liam flashed me in return, before turning back to the others, with a slight smile. "So what's for dinner, lads?
"We made pasta. Why don't ye relax and we'll go get that. Watch some TV or something." Louis said, guiding us to the settee as Harry and Zayn hedged into the kitchen.
"Why do I get the feeling they made a mess in our kitchen?" Liam asked with a sigh after Louis had joined the others in the kitchen.
"It'll be fine. They'll clean it up themselves." I reassured, before cuddling into Liam's side with a contented sigh and turning on the TV, which was turned to E!News.
".......an anonymous source sent in this clip of the two in the waiting room of a doctor's practice in London; both clearly unconcerned about being seen together as a couple." The woman was saying, before they played a video that someone had clearly filmed on their phone of me and Liam in the waiting room from today.
The video started when Liam got up to tell me to sit down and finished with the two of us looking up at the nurse, who looked just as emotionless in the video as she had in real life. There was no sound to the video but the picture was very clear and there was no debating that it was us getting all cuddly in the waiting room.
"Oh. That was a bit weird. Are they really still caught up with this?" I asked, looking up at Liam, who looked a bit annoyed.
"Who's still caught up with what?" Zayn asked as he stuck his head out around the kitchen door. They still hadn't managed to clean up their mess then.
"Us...." I sighed, pointing to the TV, which now showed a picture of Liam and I kissing sweetly, which had been taken about a week ago when we went out because I got a craving for walnuts.
"Hey; dinner's ready! Don't blame me if it tastes like-" Louis started as he walked in with two plates of pasta, before he stopped abruptly to stare at the news reader, who'd just said there was speculation about how real this pregnancy was. Apparently, there were people who believed it wasn't real and we were just doing this for publicity.
"Oh Ni; don't cry. It'll be OK." Liam sighed as he pulled me into a soothing hug; rubbing my back gently as he kissed my cheek.
" 'm sorry; just being emotional." I mumbled; trying to stop the tears, which was actually quite difficult seeing as I had no idea why I was even crying. The comments were hurtful, yes, but not so hurtful to justify breaking down in tears over.
"It's OK. You're entitled to being emotional, Ni." Liam cooed, wiping the tears away with his thumb before leaning forward to plant soft kisses all over my face making me giggle quietly.
"I can't believe they'd do that! Do they not have any respect?!" Louis thundered, clearly outraged as he glared at the floor and paced; almost manically.
"Come on, Lou: we always get this kind of thing." Liam sighed, still stroking my back as I cuddled into his side and watched Louis pace around the room.
