"Liam. It's your turn." I groaned, while poking Liam to make sure he was actually awake, when Cathal woke up crying at three in the morning. It was Saturday night, a week after the gallery opening in London and Cathal was just over two months old. I really couldn't wait for him to start sleeping the night through.
With a garbled groan, Liam got up, before trudging out of the room and down the hall with the baby monitor in hand so I could go back to sleep. Which I did almost immediately; even before Liam had gotten back to bed.
The next time Cathal woke up it was nearing seven o'clock and Liam didn't wake up at all. Being as quiet as I could so as not to wake him, I got up to feed Cathal, knowing I probably wouldn't be getting back to sleep for a while now.
"Hey, buddy. Shh; I got ya." I mumbled to Cathal in an attempt to sooth him so he wouldn't wake Lily Ann, whose room was just across the hall. He didn't stop crying for another five minutes, though and by then I'd brought him down to the kitchen.
"Morning." Lily Ann greeted when she stumbled into the kitchen a few minutes later; rubbing her eyes and stifling a jaw cracking yawn. Quentin was trailing along behind her, as per usual, and sat on the floor next to her chair when she sat at the kitchen table.
"Hey, little bear. Did Cathal wake you?" I asked, glancing up at Lily Ann quickly before returning my attention to Cathal, who was still drinking from his bottle. It was still pretty early for Lily Ann to be getting up, especially since it was the weekend.
"Yeah, but it's fine. I would have gotten up soon anyway." Lily Ann replied with a shrug, making me raise my eyebrow at her disbelievingly. Given the choice, I wouldn't be up this early, so I couldn't imagine why she would.
"Really? You would have been up now?" I asked, looking up at the clock to see that it was only five past seven. Lily Ann didn't even get up this early on school days, never mind Sundays.
"Alright, maybe not now but it's fine. I'll get more done. Maybe I can finish that book I've been reading, or make a start on my sculpture for art." Lily Ann laughed, jumping up to make breakfast for herself and feed Quentin.
Evidently, she didn't get to do either of those things, because just as she was about to start on her sculpture, Harry called and told us we had to come to London immediately. He sounded absolutely ecstatic but I couldn't imagine why that'd be.
After all getting ready, which took a considerable amount of time because Cathal wouldn't cooperate, we piled into the car on the way to London. When we arrived at Harry and Chloe's apartment, Zayn and Perrie were there with Bethany, but Louis, Eleanor and George didn't get there for another half hour.
"So what's this meeting about?" Zayn asked, making me laughing quietly. He'd been complaining before Louis, Eleanor and George got here that we had too many group meetings. Which was true, really. It seemed like every other week we were getting together to share some wonderful news that just couldn't be explained over the phone. It was either that, or the wonderful news had already been shared over the phone and we were going to celebrate it.
"Don't worry, Zee. We'll just start having a weekly newsletter soon and you won't have to come to any more group meetings." Louis joked, sticking his tongue out at Zayn when he rolled his eyes at him and laughing when George told him he was being bold.
After Louis apologized to George and, begrudgingly, Zayn, we all turned our attention to Harry, who was standing up and watching this exchange with a bemused expression. Louis wasn't known for apologizing after making fun of one of us jokingly and Zayn was still snickering into his hand because of it, so I could understand why he'd be bemused by the situation.
