Fourteen

Cass's POV (Yay finally a Cass POV! :D) 

Anna and Harry walked away leaving just me and Louis. We were quiet for a long time. It wasn't an awkward silence but it sure wasn't a comfortable one.  

I finally looked up to see Louis looking at me. "There was something else wasn't there?" he asked. "Something that made you realize." 

"Yeah, there was." 

"What was it?" 

"You." 

"Me?" Louis looked confused. 

"Yeah. I first saw you when Anna came home that day she was beat up. I was talking to Anna but when I left I wanted to see who these guys Anna went on so often about. I saw you and I guess you were fit but I didn't think anything of it. But then Anna started to hang out around you more often and I would be there and I just- I don't know. There was something about you. But I knew you were dating someone because the guys talked about it and you would always smile when you were texting her. Not that I thought I had a chance in the first place. You were human, I was a ghost." Louis kept looking at me so I continued. "When Anna was in the hospital I made sure I was always there, that way if she did die I would be there for her." 

"So you were there when-" 

"You told Harry Elanor broke up with you? Yeah. I had never felt that emotion. As a ghost you can only feel love or sadness. I haven't felt angry in twenty-four years Louis. I was so mad at her. For what she did to you. I saw how upset you were. You looked heart broken and I just wished that I could have fixed it. I wish I was the one hugging you and telling that everything would be ok. I don't know. Maybe that was what finally made me realize love. I realized that I would do anything for you. I would travel across the world for you. I would try to make a long distance relationship work! I-" I was cut off by his lips smashing into mine. 

I haven't kissed anyone for a long time but I can tell you that was the best kiss I have ever had. My arms wrapped around his neck and his hands found my waist, pulling me closer to his body. My fingers played with the hair at the bottom of his neck as he moaned into my mouth. 

It's weird, I have never known this feeling. This feeling of being cared for. My last boyfriend beat the shit out of me. I had to hide the cuts and bruises from my mom and friends, I had to pretend like we were in love when really it was like living hell. Maybe that's why God didn't send me to hell, maybe that's why he gave me a second chance? Because he knew I had already been through hell and back. 

Louis pulled away, resting his forehead on mine. We just stayed like that for what felt like hours. "Why could I see you when you changed?" 

I smiled at his, lacing my fingers together. "God has plans. You were part of a plan, you were meant to see it. There is a saying, 'love is the light of life.' God wanted you to see me change." 

"You know I have never told a girl I love the first day I meet her." Louis chuckled. "But Cassidy Williams, I think I might just love you." 

"Well I don't usually tell a guy I just met I love him either but Louis Tomlinson I think I might love you too." I smiled. 

"So," Louis said clapping his hands, "I think we should get to know each other!" 

"And how do we do that?" 

"Cass, will you go on a date with me?" he smiled at me. 

"I would love to." 

Anna's POV 

"NO FUCKING WAY!" I screamed. 

"Geeze Anna, don't wake the neighborhood!" Cass smiled. 

"What? This is a big deal!" It is past midnight, Cass got back from her date with Louis an hour ago and I have been questioning her non stop ever since.
