EIGHT

~Addison pov~

I woke up with a headache. Not just any headache though. My head was throbbing and it wouldn't stop. A million thoughts about last night flooded my mind. They wouldn't go away. Not that I remember any of it but Grayson came on to me in a strong way. I tried to convince Josh I didn't want it. All he said was okay and walked out. I felt bad for doing it. It was all my fault and now Josh probably hates me for it. The worried look on Josh's face made me think I was an awful person. He probably did like Stephanie. I would have to just get used to the fact that nothing was going to happen again.

Walking down the stairs only made my head hurt more. I clutched the banister with all the strength I had. When I finally reached the end I saw Josh and Stephanie. They looked so happy together. I didn't want to ruin it. So I carefully walked back upstairs. That is until Josh called out to me.

"Addi your awake." Damn it. I kept walking up the stairs. This time faster. It hurt but I couldn't help it. I needed to get away. "Addi wait!" Josh rushed getting up from the couch and towards the stairs. I ran faster and got to my room slamming the door and locking it.

"Addi please let me in." Josh had reached my door. I didn't say anything. I couldn't. "Addi please." Josh sounded sad. The only thing I could do was cry. He must have heard me because he spoke softly.

"Addi please."

"NO!" I yelled at him.

"You are going to have sto come out sooner or later so I'll just wait here." He say down outside my door. I kept crying until I heard my phone go off. Picking it up I let out a small whimper.

"Josh help me." I spoke almost inaudibly. He must have heard me because he stood up.

"Addi let me in!" Josh yelled. I unlocked the door and he came in. Tears streaming down my face I handed him the phone. He read the text message.

Grayson: You have your boyfriend to save you this time. Once he is gone it's just you and me baby.

~Stephanie pov~

"Look Josh you and Addi can't be together. So I suggest you move on to someone else. Maybe we could-"

"Addi you are awake" Josh cut me off. She was soon running back up the stairs. Why did she always have to ruin everything. Honestly why does she always get what she wants. I want Josh so she should just back off.

"Addi wait!" He called after her getting up from the couch letting go of my hand and following her. I hate her so much she has such a perfect life. I promise to ruin it and any chance she has with him. Her birthday is coming up this month so she will be turning eighteen. She will be legal. It will be legal for them to be together. But not if he doesn't want to be with her.

~Addison pov~

When I was finally done crying Josh came up and held me in his arms. I was so happy when he wrapped his arms around me. It was like a protective cover that would never let my demons in. Josh let go.

"Are you okay Addi?"

"No I'm scared did you read what he said? What's going to happen?" I was shaking.

"Nothing is going to happen it's okay I'm here" he held me again. I felt safe.

"Josh?"

"Yes Addi?"

"I love you."
