rewinding to the point where kasey says:

For one it's my eighteenth birthday, and since I am the runt it's supposed to be a big deal, today is the day that if my mate doesn't have enough power to change my destiny then I'll be kicked out. But of course, not even my "best friend" remembers that" Nothing, I just need some alone time to shift"

She looked un interested, as usual " do you need me to come with you?"

I hated it whenever I shift with someone else, it reminds me that they're so BIG and i'm so small..Sometimes I think they could swallow me whole " No, I'm good"

"Ok" Well at least she tried to seem as though she cared

I went behind a bush, though I didn't need to cause the clothes would just be to big for me, except sometimes I would get lost in them and need help.

and I'm not going through that humiliation again.

I felt the molding and bending going in my bones

then the tingling sensation on my my skin..

my eyesight got clear and more defined..

And now I'm hungry...
